Napoli are preparing a surprise move for Leicester City star Abdul Fatawu as Noa Lang looks to be on his way out of Naples this January.

Napoli Prepare Abdul Fatawu Bid

The Partenopei have emerged as surprise contenders to sign the Ghanaian international, as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking roster this January.

Fatawu has cemented himself as one of Leicester City’s most important players since debuting in September 2023 at just 19-years-old and is now seeking the next step in his career.

The 21-year-old joined the Foxes on loan in August 2023 before completing a €16million deal in the following season and has gone on to register 33 goal contributions in 81 appearances (11G + 22A).

After missing almost the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign with an ACL injury, Fatawu entered this season with a point to prove and has already contributed to 10 league goals (4G + 6A).

However, Leicester have failed to meet Fatawu’s standards this year and currently sit 13th in the table – six points away from a place in the playoffs.

This has caused Fatawu to question his future at the King Power Stadium and these questions have been amplified by the reported interest from Napoli.

The Serie A champions are unbeaten in their last three matches across all competitions, keeping a clean sheet on each occasion, and are looking to close the gap on table-topping Inter Milan.

Antonio Conte has been boosted by the recent news over Rasmus Hojlund, as Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna revealed that the Dane would not be returning to Manchester.

Napoli’s primary issue is in the midfield department after the recent injuries to Billy Gilmour, Kevin De Bruyne and Frank Aguissa – but there could be room for another attacker as Noa Lang’s future remains unclear.

Noa Lang Set For Napoli Exit

Noa Lang joined the Serie A champions during the recent summer transfer window, as Napoli spent €25million to bring the Dutchman in from PSV.

Many expected the Netherlands international to become a vital member under Antonio Conte, but Lang’s performances have failed to meet these expectations.

After 21 appearances across all competitions, the 26-year-old has scored just one goal and was not in Napoli’s latest Serie A squad – after a rumored fall out with the Partenopei boss.

Napoli had considered Federico Chiesa as a possible replacement but the Liverpool star appears to be edging closer to a Juventus return.

Galatasaray have shown interest in Lang and are looking to agree an initial loan deal with option to buy this January, but Napoli are looking for a set fee.

This is to help fund a move for Abdul Fatawu, as Leicester are reportedly unwilling to sell their star man for anything less than €45m.
