AC Milan Officially Announce The Loan Signing Of Niclas Fullkrug
The 32-year-old will start a new venture after his struggles in England.

Niclas Fullkrug has completed his loan move to AC Milan from English Premier League side West Ham United.
Fullkrug joins on an initial temporary basis which includes a €5million option to buy at the end of the season, according to CalcioMercato.
The German international will don the famous No. 9 jersey in Milan. Following on from club heroes such as Marco van Basten, George Weah and Filippo Inzaghi.

Niclas Fullkrug Joins AC Milan
With AC Milan targeting Niclas Fullkrug over the past two months, head coach Max Allegri has finally got his man. Fullkrug watched from the stands as the Rossoneri beat Hellas Verona 3-0 on December 28.
Interestingly, Fullkrug has already trained with his new teammates after the Serie A giants and West Ham finalized the deal prior to the New Year.
Allegri will be hopeful that Fullkrug can settle in straight away. The Italian boss has been on the lookout for a new striker after Christopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez’s recent struggles.
Ironically, Nkunku scored a brace in the Verona win but Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta is also interesting Allegri. If partnered with Fullkrug, Allegri believes he has a great chance of landing the 2025-26 Scudetto.
When Can Niclas Fullkrug Make His AC Milan Debut?
Owing to a new ruling recently approved by Serie A, Niclas Fullkrug is able to feature in Friday’s (January 2) clash against Cagliari at the Domus Unipol Arena.
In fact, Fullkrug is already in the AC Milan squad and will likely start on the bench. The change in the rules means new signings can play on the same day their paperwork is signed off.
If Fullkrug doesn’t feature, Milan are next up in action on January 8 against Genoa. That fixture has the potential to be the German’s first San Siro appearance in Diavolo colors.
After that, Max Allegri’s side will play Fiorentina, Como, Lecce and Roma over the rest of the month. As it stands, AC is second in the table on 35 points.
AC Milan’s January Transfer Targets
A Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mario Gila swap deal has been mooted for January. Gila has been one of Lazio’s standout stars this year but is keen to leave the capital.
Fellow defender Oumar Solet is also wanted. The Udinese man has also impressed in the first-half of the 2025-26 campaign. Milan would have to move quickly, though, Solet is also being watched by a number of clubs across Europe.
Elsewhere, the likes of Min-jae Kim, Sidiki Cherif, Souza and Luis Felipe are also being closely monitored.
