Fiorentina have officially confirmed that winger Nico Gonzalez has extended his contract with the club until 2028. The 25-year-old had been linked with moves to both Leicester City and Brentford during the summer, but opted to remain in Florence. A statement on the clubs official website confirmed the news:
“ACF Fiorentina is delighted to announce that Nicolas Gonzalez has signed a new contract with the club until 30 June 2028.
“The Viola No.10 has so far amassed 88 Serie A, Coppa Italia and UEFA Conference League appearances for Fiorentina, scoring 26 goals in the process. Gonzalez also has 26 caps and five goals for Argentina.”
