Hojlund has scored seven goals and registered three assists in his 19 Napoli appearances. At United, he played 95 matches, scoring 26 times.
Having failed to find his feet under Ruben Amorim, he was shipped out on loan and replaced by Benjamin Sesko. However, the grass is not always greener, with the Slovenian ace similarly struggling.

After leading Napoli to the Italian Super Cup, Conte hailed his coaching staff’s work in helping Hojlund and McTominay reach new heights.
“If we look at how many chances we created, we could have been far more effective,” he told reporters. “We played a great match in every aspect.
“The first goal was a moment of brilliance from a champion; the other situations were carefully designed to put the opponents under pressure with many players around the box.
“Hojlund and McTominay were not playing at Manchester United. There must be a reason, given the work done by me and my staff.
“I believe our job is to expand a player’s knowledge and make him stronger.”

According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli paid £5.2m to United and agreed to cover Hojlund’s wages for the season. The buy option clause is worth almost £38m.
