Rasmus Hojlund Issues Clear Napoli Future Hint With Man United Dig After Supercoppa Win
The striker played the full 90 minutes in the 2-0 victory against Bologna in Riyadh.
Rasmus Hojlund fired a parting shot at Manchester United after winning the Italian Super Cup with Napoli.
Rasmus Hojlund Impresses in Supercoppa Triumph
The striker joined the Serie A champions on loan after two years at Old Trafford, but looks a man reborn.
Hojlund’s deal is set to become permanent at the end of the season, and the Dane has shown no signs of missing United, especially after lifting his first trophy for his new club in Saudi Arabia.
Antonio Conte’s side beat Bologna 2-0 to win the Supercoppa Italiana on Monday night after David Neres’ brace.
Hojlund played the full 90 minutes alongside his former United team-mate Scott McTominay, who has been nothing short of a revelation since his switch to Naples in the summer of 2024.
Post-match, £72million man Hojlund took to social media with an apparent dig at his parent club.
He posted a photo of himself holding the Italian Super Cup trophy, alongside the caption: “What a great decision looks like.”
The 22-year-old is no stranger to cheeky Instagram posts after memorable results, having shared several during his time at United, but his latest suggests he has no plans to return to Old Trafford.
Hojlund has scored seven goals and registered three assists in his 19 Napoli appearances. At United, he played 95 matches, scoring 26 times.
Having failed to find his feet under Ruben Amorim, he was shipped out on loan and replaced by Benjamin Sesko. However, the grass is not always greener, with the Slovenian ace similarly struggling.

Antonio Conte Praises Rasmus Hojlund’s Development
After leading Napoli to the Italian Super Cup, Conte hailed his coaching staff’s work in helping Hojlund and McTominay reach new heights.
“If we look at how many chances we created, we could have been far more effective,” he told reporters. “We played a great match in every aspect.
“The first goal was a moment of brilliance from a champion; the other situations were carefully designed to put the opponents under pressure with many players around the box.
“Hojlund and McTominay were not playing at Manchester United. There must be a reason, given the work done by me and my staff.
“I believe our job is to expand a player’s knowledge and make him stronger.”
Will Rasmus Hojlund Join Napoli Permanently?
According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli paid £5.2m to United and agreed to cover Hojlund’s wages for the season. The buy option clause is worth almost £38m.
However, for the move to become permanent, I Partenopei must qualify for the Champions League. Hojlund will also have to make a certain number of appearances.
