The latest Robert Lewandowski transfer news has revealed that AC Milan are interested in signing the Barcelona superstar next summer.

Lewandowski is widely regarded as one of the finest strikers in the modern game. The Polish international has already scored four times in seven appearances across all competitions this season for the LaLiga giants.

Now in his twilight years, Lewandowski is still highly regard as a world class forward and is very much on the Rossoneri’s radar for the 2026-27 season.

Robert Lewandowski Transfer News

With Milan close to purchasing the San Siro, Robert Lewandowski could be one of the last players to feature for the Rossoneri at the iconic venue.

The local city council has approved the sale of the stadia and surrounding land to AC and Inter. And now, the Diavolo are keen to build on their recent good news.

A new and improved soccer cathedral is very much in the pipeline and what better way to celebrate than by signing someone of Lewandowski’s caliber.

The world class goal-getter could be available in the summer and Igli Tare has already made his move. The sporting director has reportedly reached out to Lewey’s agent about moving to the Serie A giants.

Even though the Polish superstar is 37, Milan have got the best out of veteran strikers such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud in recent years.

Having never tried his hand in Serie A, Lewandowski could be tempted by the move. Especially as he could be joining Luka Modric and Kevin De Bruyne in Italy’s elite division.

When Does Robert Lewandowski’s Contract Expire?

Milan’s interest in Robert Lewandowski has stemmed from Barcelona’s uncertainty on whether to extend the striker’s current deal. His contract is set to expire in June 2026.

Therefore, Igli Tare has reached out to Lewandowski’s agent to gain a better understanding of the situation. The Pole is represented by Pini Zahavi and it’s understood that Tare has been in regular contact over the last two weeks.

Now, the Rossoneri’s sporting director is keen to bring Lewnadowski on board. Tare believes he has the pedigree and leadership qualities that will benefit head coach Max Allegri’s squad.

If Barca is happy to let him leave next summer, it’ll be down to Lewandowski whether he feels a move to Milan will be the best step for him and his family.

Until then, the 37-year-old star will continue to give his utmost for Hansi Flick’s side. Lewey is expected to play in the upcoming Champions League fixture against PSG on October 1.

How Many Goals Has Robert Lewandowski Scored In His Career?

If the latest Robert Lewandowski transfer news comes to fruition and he signs for Milan next summer, supporters can expect non-stop goals from the Polish international.

For current employers Barcelona, Lewandowski has 105 strikes in 154 appearances to his name. During his most successful spell at Bayern, he scored an incredible 344 times in 375 appearances.

During his first stint in Germany with Dortmund, Lewandowski scored 103 goals in 187 appearances. Throughout his entire club career, Lewey has scored a total of 647 club goals and has netted 86 times for Poland.

Therefore, he has scored a total of 733 goals for club and country. A truly remarkable return for someone that would surely add significantly to that tally should he sign for the Rossoneri.
