Juventus are reportedly close to agreeing a $469 million deal with Adidas that will run for a decade between 2028 and 2038.
What Is Involved In The Deal Between Juventus and Adidas?
Juventus will continue their long-standing deal with Adidas from 2028-20238, as the two companies are reportedly closing in on a renewed deal for around $469m.
Adidas became the sole kit supplier for Juventus in 2015 in a deal that was set to run until the end of the 2026-27 season, with the three stripes taking the reins from Nike originally.
When looking into the intricacies of this deal, the specific figure is $469.2 million and will sit around $46.9m per year, which is a slight decrease from the $49.4m in the initial agreement.
During Juventus’ peak years with Adidas, the annual value reached a whopping $63.3m and this figure was only bettered by the two Spanish giants in Real Madrid and Barcelona, but also the Premier League’s ‘big six’ (excluding Tottenham).
This could be down to a plethora of things, including Juventus’ performances on the pitch in recent years, but is primarily because of Juve’s legal troubles between 2021-2022.
The Old Lady finished fourth in the Serie A last season as Igor Tudor helped turn things around following Thiago Motta’s departure and Juve are now one of the favorites to win the league title on Serie A betting sites.
Which Serie A Sides Have A Deal With Adidas?
This new deal with Juventus means that the Turin-based side continue to boast the most lucrative kit deal in Italy by a fair margin and are among the top eight across all of soccer.
At this current moment in time, there are only three Serie A sides that have a partnership with Adidas – with Juventus, Roma and Como all donning the iconic three stripes.
Roma partnered with the sportswear company at the beginning of the 2023-24 season and Adidas are reportedly paying around $7m each year to the Italian side.
The Giallorossi have recently appointed Gian Piero Gasperini and the Italian manager has already commented on his team, as Gasperini does not believe Roma can win the Scudetto.
As for Como, the partnership with Adidas was announced at the beginning of the 2024-25 season and the three stripes can be seen on the male, female and youth jerseys.
Adidas are not just a major player in the Italian soccer league system, the infamous sportswear company is also the kit supplier for the Italian national team.
The Azzuri decided to part ways with Puma in favor of a deal with Adidas in 2023 and the agreement is set to last until 2027 – boasting a value of $40m each year.
