Juventus Star’s Agent Slams Serie A Side For ‘Disrespectful’ Approach During Summer Transfer Window

Start

Juventus have been slammed by the agent of Timothy Weah for disrespecting the USMNT star, as the 25-year-old continues to be pushed out by the Serie A side.

Will Timothy Weah Leave Juventus?

Timothy Weah has been heavily linked with a move away from Turin this summer, as Igor Tudor looks to complete a huge squad overhaul before the 2025/26 season.

Since joining the Italian side in July 2023, the US international has made 78 appearances, contributed to 14 goals (7G +7A) and won the Coppa Italia in 2023/24.

His 2024/25 campaign failed to impress the Juventus faithful, failing to register a single goal contribution from February 7th onwards and fading out of the starting eleven.

Igor Tudor’s 2025/26 set up with Juventus is unlikely to feature the USMNT player, especially after Weah almost joined Nottingham Forest alongside Samuel Mbangula.

The move failed to materialize as the Juventus duo did not want to sign for Forest, rejecting the English sides’ offer and now looking for an alternative option this summer.

According to reports, Weah has been in contact with Marseille over a return to France, as the American made 94 appearances in Ligue 1 during his time in the country.

Juventus are waiting for an improved offer from Roberto De Zerbi’s side, but terms are said to be agreed between the USMNT player and the Ligue 1 side.

Furthermore, Weah’s exit from Juventus has been made even more likely following a recent interview by the 25-year-old’s agent, Badou Sambague, who slammed the Serie A side for their actions this summer.

What Did Timothy Weah Agent Say About Juventus?

Juventus have been very clear this summer, as the Italian side would like Weah to move on but will not accept anything under their initial asking price of $17 million.

Weah’s deal with the Italian side does not expire until June 2028, meaning Juve are in a strong position when it comes to negotiating a price with Marseille.

The USMNT is not in the Bianconeri’s plans for the 2025/26 campaign, especially with Serie A betting sites already pricing Juventus as one of the favorites to win the Scudetto.

These favorable odds come from Igor Tudor’s strong approach this summer, however, Weah’s agent has now revealed that the Serie A side have a ‘total lack of respect’.

Weah’s agent said: “Juventus are a fantastic club, the sporting department is managed by three people who have class. We won’t hold against them, but two are looking for solutions and one is creating problems, and we cannot let that go.

“Tim Weah is always professional, but was sidelined during the Club World Cup. This person botched the World Cup by trying to force him to go where he wanted. Today, out of spite, he is demanding a fortune and is waiting for a Premier League offer that will never come, and we’ll never approve.

“These old-fashioned methods won’t work with me. I’m not accustomed to speaking out, but staying silent today would mean accepting the unacceptable and a total lack of respect.

“Class can’t be bought, at least not for an executive, but it’s always been part of Juventus. One person is undermining, so let’s see.”
