Fiorentina are reportedly interested in Manchester City star, James McAtee, after the youngster’s triumphant Euro U21 campaign.

The young Premier League star has enjoyed a successful summer so far, putting in some superb performances at Euro U21 tournament and clinching the trophy with England.
McAtee scored one goal and registered two assists during England’s run to the illustrious trophy, providing the vital pass for Omari Hutchinson’s strike in the final.
His place in the national team came after a breakout year under Pep Guardiola, making 15 Premier League appearances and scoring three goals – the most he has managed for his boyhood side.
Despite this run of form, the Cityzens have added multiple reinforcements to their midfield this summer, signing Rayan Cherki and Tijani Reijnders.
This, alongside Rodri’s return from injury, means McAtee’s minutes could become increasingly more limited as Pep Guardiola’s looks to bounce back from a poor 2024/25 season.
After a poor start to the season, City managed to fight their way back with a third place finish and the fresh faces at the Etihad mean the club are still favorites to win the league on the best betting apps.
Mcatee’s deal with his boyhood club is set to expire in June 2026 and according to reports, City are willing to cash in on the youngster instead of offering him a new deal.
An exact asking price has not been revealed, however, it is believed that the former Premier League champions would be willing to accept any bid at around $20-25 million.

McAtee’s reported search for more playing time next season has alerted multiple clubs around and in particular, Fiorentina are interested in landing the Englishman’s signature.
The Serie A side showed interest in McAtee during the January transfer window and were unable to agree a deal due to City’s injuries in midfield.
AC Milan were also said to have shown an interest in the 22-year-old, but that link appears to have come to an end and the Florence-based side are now front-runners to land the midfielder.
Fiorentina have already caught some headlines during this summer transfer window, approaching Norwich over a move for USMNT striker, Joshua Sargent.
The 2024/25 season was a respectable display from the club, qualifying for the Europa Conference League with a sixth placed finish and reaching the Europa Conference League semi-finals.
