Juventus and Roma are reportedly eyeing-up a move for Tottenham star, Yves Bissouma, after Spurs set a $30 million asking price for the Mali midfielder.
Will Tottenham Sell Yves Bissouma?
The Lilywhites have caught the headlines for some major transfer activity in recent weeks, signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham and looking likely to add Nottingham Forest star, Morgan Gibbs-White.
However, a deal for the Englishman hit a slight snag after Forest believed an illegal move had been made for Gibbs-White, as Spurs met a ‘hidden’ release clause.
The deal still looks likely to finalize this summer, meaning Spurs will have another addition in midfield and this has left Yves Bissouma’s future up in the air.
Since joining the club in June 2022, the former Brighton star has made 100 appearances in North London and won his first trophy with the club last season.
Ange Postecoglou guided Spurs to their first piece of silverware since 2008, as the Lilywhites beat Manchester United to win the Europa League final in Bilbao.
The Australian was then relieved of his duties after finishing 17th in the Premier League and Spurs appointed Brentford boss, Thomas Frank, who will be looking to make his mark on the side this summer.
Spurs are currently huge outsiders to win the Premier League on the best betting apps and the squad from last season could have a huge overhaul – including multiple exits.
Bissouma is set to be one of these departing players, with the likes of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, Pape Matar Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur and James Maddison all being high in Frank’s pecking order.
The 28-year-old has one-year remaining on his current deal in North London and Spurs may be looking to cash-in on the Mali international this summer – with multiple Serie A sides interested.
Are Roma and Juventus Interested In Yves Bissouma?
One Italian side that could make a move for Bissouma this summer is Juventus, as Igor Tudor takes control of his first full season in Turin following a successful spell as interim.
The Croatian coach managed to secure Champions League football for the Old Lady following Thiago Motta’s dismissal and is looking to tweak the Juve squad this summer.
Adding some quality in midfield is clearly a priority, as Juve are reportedly willing to ‘break the bank’ for Manchester United star, Kobbie Mainoo.
However, the Red Devils are reportedly keen on keeping a hold of their star academy graduate and Juve may look for alternative options, who will not cost such a drastic fee.
Douglas Luiz is also set to leave the club after failing to impress under Tudor and Bissouma may be the perfect option for the Turin-based side for around $30m.
Additionally, Roma are also in the running to sign the Tottenham midfielder as Gian Piero Gasperini takes the reins in the Italian capital following his surprise exit from Atalanta.
The Giallorossi finished fifth in Serie A last season, meaning Europa League action will return to Rome and the squad needs multiple additions to compete across each competition.
