Will Moise Kean Leave Fiorentina In 2026?
The Italian forward was one of the most prolific players in Serie A last season, finishing second in the goal-scoring charts with 19 goals and establishing himself as one of the best strikers in Europe.
However, the 25-year-old has failed to replicate this form in the 2025/26 campaign so far, as Kean has scored just one goal in seven Serie A appearances.
His deal with La Viola does not expire until June 2029, however, Kean was heavily linked with a move away from Florence during the 2025 summer transfer window.
Several clubs around Europe were tempted by Kean’s €52 million release clause, but this was only valid for a two-week period in July and was not activated in time.
Once this clause came to an end, Fiorentina were reportedly looking for over €70m and this hefty asking price silenced any interest from Europe’s elite sides.
Fiorentina’s performances in Serie A have left many questioning Kean’s future in Florence, as La Viola are still searching for a Serie A victory and are in the relegation places.
The former Everton striker is now questioning his future with the Serie A side and any talks over an extended deal have stalled, with the Italian looking into a possible exit.
La Viola have been linked with Feyenoord star Ayase Ueda, as the Japanese striker has scored 11 league goals in nine appearances and is one of the highest scorers in Europe.
Bringing in an additional striker could bring an end to Kean’s time in Florence and the 25-year-old may consider a new place to call home in the January or summer window.
Are Manchester United Interested In Moise Kean?
The Red Devils were heavily linked with Moise Kean during the summer window, as Ruben Amorim searched for a man that could lead the line after a poor 2024/25 campaign.
However, Manchester United decided against a move for the Fiorentina star and signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, with Rasmus Hojlund leaving Old Trafford to join Napoli.
United have made a mixed start to the season, picking up 13 points from nine Premier League matches and Benjamin Sesko has scored two goals so far.
The Slovenian international has made a steady start, but the Red Devils could still bring in another attacking option as Joshua Zirkzee is reportedly looking to leave in January.
Zirkzee has not started a single Premier League game this season and has accumulated just 74 minutes so far, meaning a return to Serie A has become increasingly more likely.
The Dutchman’s desire for a return to Italy could play a vital role in Moise Kean’s future, as United could submit a player plus cash deal to tempt Fiorentina into a sale.
Could Atletico Madrid Sign Moise Kean?
Moise Kean has already attempted to find success in the Premier League, appearing in England’s top-flight on 32 occasions during his spell with Everton.
His time with the Toffee’s did not go according to plan, contributing to four goals in the Premier League and Kean may be looking to avoid a return to England.
One league that the Italian has never competed in is La Liga, despite multiple links over a move to Spain in recent transfer windows and Atletico Madrid could be the perfect place for Kean to call home.
Diego Simeone’s side have struggled in the 2025/26 season so far and were thrashed in their most recent outing, losing 4-0 to Arsenal in the Champions League.
Julian Alvarez has been a standout player for Atletico, contributing to 1o goals in 11 appearances across all competitions (7G + 3A) and attracting interest from Inter Milan.
If the Argentinian international decides to move on at the start of 2026, the Spanish giants may consider a move for Kean – but Fiorentina may set a huge asking price in the January window.
Would Moise Kean Go To Saudi Arabia?
The Saudi Pro League has started to become a huge force in the world of soccer, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Sadio Mane all moving to the ever-evolving nation.
This trio are among the highest paid players in the world and Kean could receive a monstrous pay-rise that would be impossible to decline.
As we previously mentioned, Kean finished second in the goal-scoring ranks last season and the man that pipped him to the Golden Boot completed a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer window.
Matteo Retegui became the most expensive Italian player of all-time after signing for Al Qadsiah and is still one of the first names on Italy’s team-sheet despite playing outside of Europe.
Kean will be hoping to compete for the Azzurri at next year’s World Cup and playing outside of Europe’s top five leagues could be a slight hindrance.
However Retegui has shown that this is not the case, meaning Kean may consider a move to the Saudi Pro League in the January transfer window.
