OFFICIAL: Andrea Cambiaso joins Bologna

Juventus have confirmed that new signing Andrea Cambiaso has already joined Bologna on a season-long loan. The 22-year-old completed a move to Turin just two days ago and is already on his way out on loan.  Bologna confirmed the move via a statement on the clubs official website:

Bologna Fc 1909 are pleased to announce the signing of defender Andrea Cambiaso from Juventus Fc on a loan deal lasting until 30 June 2023.

A versatile and two-footed full-back, the 22-year-old is among the most interesting emerging Italian talents. Andrea, who possesses good physical attributes and is quick and technical, really showcased his talents in his debut Serie A season at Genoa in 2021/22. After progressing through the Grifone’s youth ranks and spending two seasons in Serie D from the age of 17 to 19, he moved to Alessandria in the summer of 2019. However, his 2019/20 campaign was marked by a serious knee injury that partially carried over to the following season, which he spent with Empoli under Dionisi in Serie B. With the Azzurri having gained promotion, he returned to Genoa, made his top-flight debut on 21 August 2021 and became a regular fixture in the starting eleven before suffering an injury against Inter in February. A player who has also played in midfield on a few occasions, Cambiaso has also established himself in the Italy U21 team. In July 2022, he signed for Juventus, but now he’s joined Bologna on a temporary basis.
