OFFICIAL: Fiorentina sign Luka Jovic

Fiorentina have officially confirmed the signing of Serbian striker Luka Jovic on a permanent deal. The 24-year-old leaves Real Madrid after just two seasons with the club and will be hoping to rediscover his form in Florence.

A statement on the club’s official website confirmed the move earlier today.

Fiorentina is delighted to announce the signing of Luka Jovic from Real Madrid on a permanent deal.

Born in the Bosnian city of Bijeljina on 23 December 1997, Jovic came up through the ranks at Red Star Belgrade before embarking on a professional career that has seen him play for the likes of Benfica, Eintracht Frankfurt and Real Madrid.

The new Viola forward, who currently has 60 goals to his name in all competitions, brings quite a trophy haul to Florence, having won the Champions League and DFB-Pokal once, and La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup twice.

The 24-year-old has racked up nine goals in 26 senior appearances for Serbia to date.
