Roma Initiate contacts for Badé: Sevilla’s demands and the Giallorossi’s plan

Start

Roma continues to make moves in the transfer market to strengthen their squad under the guidance of Daniele De Rossi. After securing Matias Soulé and Artem Dovbyk, the club’s focus has now shifted to bolstering their defense, a department that the club’s higher-ups believe needs reinforcement.

Calciomercato report that Roma have set their sights on Loic Badé, the French-Ivorian defender currently playing for Sevilla. According to reports, Roma have already initiated contact with the Andalusian club regarding Badé, who is valued at €20 million.

The Giallorossi are looking to include player exchanges in the deal to reduce the cash outlay, given the number of players they are looking to offload. However, Sevilla is currently insisting on a cash-only deal for the defender.

Badé, who previously played for Lens and Rennes, made 33 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla last season. He is under contract with the Spanish club until June 30, 2027.

Roma’s strategy involves negotiating personal terms with Badé’s agent, which is expected to be straightforward. Following this, Roma plans to make an official offer to Sevilla, starting at around 25 million euros. There are ongoing discussions about potentially including defender Tiago Djaló as part of the deal, which could interest Sevilla.

As negotiations continue, Roma are determined to secure Badé’s services to enhance their defensive options for the upcoming season. The coming days will be crucial in determining whether the two clubs can reach an agreement and finalize the transfer.
