Sports Judge: Atalanta curva to be closed for one match

Start

The Sporting judge has ruled that Atalanta’s Curva Nord will be closed for one round following the racist chants that were directed at Dusan Vlahovic during Sunday’s match against Juventus. The Bianconeri were 2-0 winners but Vlahovic was the subject of vile chants after he came on from the bench and went on to score the second goal of the game.

The Giudice Sportivo has ruled that at least 80% of the 9,000 supporters in the ‘Curva Nord Pisani section’ were involved in the chants that were directed at the Serbian international striker.

La Dea have also picked up a €10,000 fine as a result of the supporters chants towards Vlahovic and the insulting chants aimed at the referee during the match.

The Juve striker was booked for his celebration after scoring and that has been upheld, however, there’s a suggestion that FIGC president Gabriele Gravina may intervene on the players behalf.
