The future of Gatti, Rovella, Soulé, Miretti and Fagioli

Juventus are making plans for next season which includes the futures of Federico Gatti, Nicola Rovella, Matías Soulé, Fabio Miretti and Nicolò Fagioli. The youngsters have spent seasons on loan or in the youth setup, but all have attracted attention following strong performances in the 2021/22 season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Gatti, currently on loan to Frosinone, is almost certain to play for Juventus next season being on of 4/5 centre-backs at the club.

Together with him, two more players may remain in the first team, one in each area of the pitch. In midfield the candidates are Nicolò Rovella, Nicolò Fagioli and Fabio Miretti. According to Gazzetta, Rovella is the most likely to play for the club next season, while Miretti is expected to go on loan. Fagioli will have his contract extended and if Cremonese are promoted to Serie A, he could remain there on loan for the next season.

Matias Soulé, the most promising of Juve’s young attacking talents, will probably be watched by Juve coach Max Allegri over the summer and he may yet carve out a role for him as the last man in the attacking roster.

Radu Dragusin, who has spent time at Sampdoria and Salernitana is 99% likely to go elsewhere, either sold outright or loaned, in Italy or abroad, with one certainty: he will not accept a Serie B team.

Koni De Winter had moments of glory in the autumn when Allegri did not hide the idea of considering him the best young player for his basic technique. More recently, he was called up for the Belgian national side. He unlikely do another year on the borders between the senior and U23 teams: he’ll likely sign abroad, on loan or outright.
