Torino sign Devis Vasquez from Milan

Torino have reached an advanced stage in negotiations with Milan for the transfer of goalkeeper Devis Vasquez. This move comes as part of Torino’s active summer transfer window, which has also seen discussions about Alessandro Buongiorno’s potential move to Napoli.

Vasquez, a 25-year-old Colombian goalkeeper, stands at an impressive 198cm (6’6″). He joined Milan in January 2023 from Guarani but has yet to make an appearance for the Rossoneri’s first team.

During the 2023-24 season, Vasquez gained valuable experience playing in both England and Italy. He featured in 10 matches for Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship during the first half of the season. In January, he moved to Ascoli in Serie B, where he also played 10 games.

This transfer to Torino represents an opportunity for Vasquez to establish himself in Serie A. For Torino, it provides depth and competition in the goalkeeping position as they prepare for the upcoming season.

The deal’s specifics, including the transfer fee and contract details, have not yet been disclosed. However, the advanced nature of the negotiations suggests that an official announcement could be imminent.
