Vlahovic future at Juventus in doubt?

Start

Dusan Vlahovics’ future at Juventus could be in doubt, with a report suggesting that the Bianconeri are prepared to listen to offers for him. The Serbian has had a torrid season to date, spending a big portion of the early campaign on the sidelines through injury while struggling for goals in 2023.

On Saturday night, Vlahovic lasted until the 63rd minute of Juve’s 2-1 defeat against Lazio before being substituted for Arek Milik, managing just two shots, neither of them on target, while picking up another injury in the process.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that he is expected to work separately today, while hoping to return to the group tomorrow on the eve of the quarter-final first leg against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League.

His presence against the Portuguese side is in doubt, although quiet optimism about his recovery remains. On the other hand, his future in Turin in the summer is increasingly in doubt, with more and more suggestions that the club may indeed part company with the Serbian international.

Vlahovic arrived at Juve in January 2022 for €70m, although the figure may exceed €90m between solidarity payments, commissions and bonuses – A large investment for what was considered the centre-forward of the future at Continassa.

Despite his move to Juve, Dusan has always been in the sights of several foreign clubs, and there’s a suggestion that a substantial offer could come for him in the summer ahead. Premier League side Chelsea have maintained an interest in him and are considered to be in the lead, while Bayern Munich are also following the striker closely.

Having remained firm in their will to keep the 23-year-old, the report claims that Juve are now at least ready to listen to any offers for the player, and he could be sacrificed in order to bring in order to bring in additional funds for the summer transfer window.

Regardless of the foreign interest, the report also outlines how the player would be reluctant to leave Juve as he fought strongly to make the move to Turin just a year and a half ago, leaving bitter rivals Fiorentina to make the controversial switch to the Bianconeri.
