Currently sitting at the bottom of the Serie A table with just 13 points from 24 matches, Monza’s season has been nothing short of disastrous. Under Bocchetti’s leadership, the team managed only one win—against Fiorentina—and suffered six defeats in seven games, collecting a mere three points during his tenure.
Nesta, who had initially been replaced by Bocchetti in December, is now poised to resume his role in an effort to salvage Monza’s season. The team faces an uphill battle to avoid relegation, and Galliani hopes that Nesta’s return can provide stability and a fresh perspective as they fight for survival in Italy’s top flight.
