AC Milan will divert their attention to Coppa Italia action on September 23rd, as the Rossoneri host Lecce and you can find our full preview, prediction, possible lineups and betting tips below.

AC Milan vs Lecce Preview

Massimiliano Allegri has made a strong start to his second managerial tenure in Milan, as the Rossoneri sit third in Serie A after winning their last three league matches.

The red and black half of Milan suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Cremonese on the opening day of the season, but have gone on to pick up wins over Lecce, Bologna and Udinese.

The latter came in Milan’s most recent league encounter, with Allegri’s side earning a 3-0 victory in Udine thanks to a Youssouf Fofana strike and Christian Pulisic brace.

Pulisic’s performances for Milan this season have been pivotal, scoring three and assisting one in the league, while also finding the target in Milan’s 2-0 victory over Bari in Coppa Italia.

Max Allergi is clearly a big fan of the former Chelsea star and the American international has now entered negotiations for a new contract in Milan.

Milan’s start to the season has began to cause excitement for supporters, however, their upcoming Coppa Italia opponents have not brought the same joy so far.

Lecce are yet to win a game in Serie A, losing their last three and picking up one point from the opening four matches, as pressure continues to build on Eusebio Di Francesco.

Defeats to Milan, Atalanta and Cagliari have seen Lecce drop down to bottom of Serie A, scoring just two goals and conceding eight from the four matches.

Lecce’s only piece of joy this season came in the previous round of Coppa Italia, as Di Francesco’s side beat Juve Stabia 2-0 at Stadio Via del Mare on August 15th.

As we have previously touched on, Lecce have already been beaten by Milan this season and you need to go back to April 2006 to find their last win over the Rossoneri.

However, Milan are expected to field a weaker side with one-eye on their upcoming Serie A clash against Napoli and Rafael Leao is set to remain on the sidelines.

AC Milan vs Lecce Prediction

Massimiliano Allegri’s side picked up a 2-0 win over Lecce on August 29th, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Pulisic secured all-three points away from home.

The Rossoneri are unbeaten from their last 15 matches against Lecce and have only suffered one defeat throughout history, making grim viewing for Lecce supporters.

Taking that into consideration, we expect Allegri’s side to progress into the next round of Coppa Italia and pick up a comfortable victory over Lecce on September 23rd.

Prediction: AC Milan 3-0 Lecce

AC Milan vs Lecce Possible Lineups

AC Milan: Terracciano; Pavlovic, Gabbia, Tomori; Saelemaekers, Rabiot, Fofana, Modric, Estupinan; Pulisic; Gimenez

Lecce: Falcone; Kouassi, T. Gabriel, Gaspar, Gallo; Ramadani, A. Sala, Coulibaly; Pierotti, Sottil, Stulic

AC Milan vs Lecce Betting Tips

AC Milan To Win Both Halves: +180

Milan’s domination of this fixture throughout history is clear to see and the Rossoneri are in tremendous form – while showing no signs of slowing down.

Allegri’s side won both halves in their most recent Serie A clash against Udinese and came close to doing so in their 2-0 win over Lecce last time out, having a goal disallowed in the first four minutes.

The Rossoneri appear to be a new team this season in comparison to the poor 2024/25 display, offering new deals to the likes of Fikayo Tomori and dominating the majority of their matches so far.

Given the current vibe in Milan, supporters will come into this match with full confidence and we expect Allegri’s men to make a strong start against Lecce – winning both halves on September 23rd.
