The World Cup is not just the biggest tournament in soccer, but is often lauded as the most iconic competition in sports, with the 2022 final being the most viewed sporting event of all-time at 1.5 billion viewers.
In 2026, the historic competition will take place in the United States, Mexico and Canada, as it heads to North America for the first time in over 30 years.
It’s most recent outing in the continent came in 1994, as Brazil won their fourth World Cup after a penalty-shootout victory over Italy in the final.
Given it’s long-awaited return to the United States, fans will be eager to secure a ticket – but will have to dive deep into their pockets as the price list has now been revealed.
How Much Are World Cup 2026 Tickets?
Canada
The Serie A welcomed a new Canadian player for the 2025/26 season, as Jonathan David joined Juventus after his contract with Lille came to an end.
Known for his prolific nature in front of goal, the Juventus striker will be a guaranteed starter for his national side in 2026 and Serie A fans will be watching with huge intrigue.
To watch David and Canada’s opening match, fans will need to pay $1,745 for Category One seats, with the tickets being released in four separate categories.
If the initial price is too steep then Category Two seats are available for $1,240, Category Three drops down to $715 and the cheapest tickets in Category Four are $355,
Canada’s links to Serie A do not just include Jonathan David, as star midfielder Ismael Kone also completed a move to Italy during the summer transfer window – signing for Sassuolo.
The 23-year-old has cemented his place in Fabio Grosso’s side and is expected to feature in Sassuolo’s upcoming clash against Hellas Verona on October 3rd.
Mexico
Santiago Gimenez has become a household name in Serie A after his move to AC Milan in the 2025 January window and will go into the 2026 World Cup as Mexico’s leading talisman.
The 24-year-old has struggled during his opening year with the Rossoneri, scoring just seven goals in 26 appearances and is yet to find the target this season.
Gimenez’s future with Milan has been put into question recently, as the Rossoneri are reportedly interested in Robert Lewandowski – but Milan fans will still be keeping an eye out for his performances in 2026.

United States
Undoubtedly one of the biggest talking points for the 2026 World Cup is the expectations around the United States, as they head into the competition with a ‘Golden Generation’.
Leading this generation is none other than AC Milan star, Christian Pulisic, who is currently playing at the highest level of his career – contributing to eight goals in seven appearances across all competitions for Milan this season.
The USMNT is close to agreeing a new deal with Milan and supporters will be hoping to keep a hold of their star man, with many hoping for a big performance in the World Cup.
Other star names from Serie A will be heading to the tournament with the U.S., with Juventus’ Weston McKennie and Atalanta’s Yunus Musah expected to feature.
As expected, tickets for the United States’ opening match will cost more than Canada and Mexico, with the cheapest ticket costing $560 and the most expensive sitting at $2,735.

How Much Is A World Cup 2026 Final Ticket?
The biggest event in sport is the World Cup final, with billions of people watching the match each year and the 2026 tournament will be no different.
Tickets for the match are often treated like gold-dust and resale has seen some rise to over $20,000, with prices increasing during each tournament.
For the 2026 World Cup, tickets for the final could cost around $6,370 and the cheapest seat will still cost fans around $2,030.
Group Stage tickets are currently sitting between $60-$805, while the third place play-off has seen tickets rise to $1000 – which could include multiple players from Serie A.
