Prior to the victory over Udinese, Sassuolo had suffered defeats to Inter, Cremonese and Napoli, while beating Lazio – scoring just four goals.

Grosso will be able to call upon almost all of his roster for the clash against Verona, as Yeferson Paz is the only confirmed absentee.
