AC Milan Prepared To Rival Premier League Sides For Brazilian Superstar After Impressive Spell With Palmeiras

AC Milan are willing to battle a host of Premier League sides for Brazilian star, Vitor Roque, after the 20-year-old’s impressive spell with Palmeiras.

Are AC Milan Interested In Vitor Roque?

The Brazilian international has caught the eye of multiple clubs around Europe after his performances in 2025 and AC Milan are the latest side to show interest.

Roque signed for Palmeiras in February 2025, becoming the most expensive signing in the leagues’ history at €25.5 million and has gone on to make 44 appearances for the Brazilian side, contributing to 18 goals along the way (14G + 14A).

The set-up for top level soccer in Brazil is different to that of Europe, as Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A (top division) began in March of this year.

During his 24 league appearances so far, Roque has contributed to 13 goals (10G + 3A) and is joint-fourth in the goal-scoring ranks, scoring five goals in his last five appearances.

These recent performances have reverberated around the world of soccer and the Brazilian has now been linked with a move elsewhere.

West Ham have been the front-runners to sign the 20-year-old, but the Hammers could face stiff competition from AC Milan, as the Rossoneri look to build on their side that has made a strong start to the season.

Milan have been linked with MLS star, Diego Luna, as Massimiliano Allegri’s side look to continue their strong start to the season after picking up some huge results already, beating the current champions Napoli and holding Juventus to draw in their latest fixture.

Milan are currently on a streak of six matches without defeat across all competitions and sit third in Serie A with 13 points from six matches – just two points off top.

Despite this good run of form, Milan are yet to find a prolific goalscorer to lead the line, with Santiago Gimenez being the only ‘out and out’ centre forward.

Christian Pulisic, Christopher Nkunku and Rafael Leao have all featured in the Milan front-line, but Allegri is reportedly looking for a player that fills the striker profile.

Roque still has four-years remaining on his current deal, meaning the Rossoneri would have to submit a substantial bid to tempt Palmeiras and the Italian side may be deterred after the Brazilian’s last spell in Europe.

Why Did Vitor Roque Leave Barcelona?

Barcelona signed Vitor Roque from Club Athletico Paranaense for €30 million in January 2024 after his impressive performances, scoring 28 goals for the Brazilian club.

However, after failing to make his mark at Camp Nou, Roque went on to join Real Betis on loan in August 2024, as the Brazilian donned the white and green for the 2024/25 campaign.

During his time with Betis, Roque made 33 appearances and contributed to nine goals (7G + 2A) and appeared to have won the hearts of supporters.

His time with Betis was cut short as Barcelona agreed a deal with Palmeiras, meaning the loan deal was terminated and Roque made his return to Brazil in February 2025.

Roque was unable to replicate the performances of the last player to sign for Barcelona from the Brazilian in Neymar Jr, who has also been linked with a move to Serie A.

The 20-year-old scored two goals in 16 appearances for La Blaugrana and Xavi, who was manager at the time, was reportedly unimpressed with his efforts in training.
