Revealed: Serie A Referees Confirmed For Matchday 12 (22nd – 24th November)
The referees for Matchday 12 in Serie A have now been confirmed, as supporters prepare for another week of thrilling action.
Italian soccer fans will need to put a disappointing week of international action behind them as the Serie A returns for Matchday 12 and the referees for these fixtures have now been confirmed.
Serie A Referees Confirmed For Matchday 12
Saturday 22nd November
Cagliari vs Genoa – Federico La Penna
Matchday 12 in Serie A kicks off on November 22nd, as Cagliari look to end a run of seven matches without a win in Italy’s top-flight and face a Genoa side with a new lease of life under Daniele De Rossi.
Taking charge of the match will be Federico La Penna, as the Italian referee oversees his fourth match in Serie A this season and makes his first appearance since Matchday eight.
The 42-year-old was involved in a chaotic match-up in his latest Serie A outing, as La Penna handed out seven yellow cards, a red card and two penalties during Fiorentina’s 2-2 stalemate with Bologna on October 26th.
Overall, La Penna has handed out 12 yellow cards in Serie A this season, averaging three per match and this tally is one of the lowest for a Serie A official in 2025/26.
Udinese vs Bologna – Juan Luca Sacchi
The aforementioned Bologna are back in Serie A competition on November 22nd, as Vincenzo Italiano’s side look to keep a grasp on their fifth place position.
Udinese are not far behind in 10th after a mixed start to the season and this Serie A clash will be officiated by Juan Luca Sacchi – who has only acted as referee once in Italy’s elite league this season.
The 41-year-old was in charge during Lazio’s 2-0 victory over Cagliari on November 3rd and the Italian managed to keep a firm grip over the match with just two yellow cards.
Sacchi has spent the majority of this season in Serie B, officiating four matches in Italy’s second division and his performances have been far more controversial.
His opening match of the season saw two red cards and a penalty, as Reggiana beat Empoli 3-1 and Sacchi has now awarded a spot-kick in three of his four matches in Serie B.
Fiorentina vs Juventus – Daniele Doveri
Luciano Spalletti will look to continue his strong start as Juventus manager on November 22nd, as the Bianconeri face Fiorentina away from home.
La Viola are still searching for their first win of the season and recently appointed Paolo Vanoli for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign, following Stefano Pioli’s exit.
This Serie A encounter will be led by Daniele Doveri, who is one of the most active officials in Italy’s top division this season – taking charge of five matches so far.
The Italian has managed to avoid any red cards or penalties during his appearances in Serie A, while handing out 20 yellow cards which is an average of four per match.
On paper this should be a relatively relaxed encounter as only Napoli (15) have received less yellow cards than Juventus (16) in Serie A this season.
Napoli vs Atalanta – Marco Di Bello
Closing the show on Saturday 22nd November will be Napoli and Atalanta, as Antonio Conte’s side look to end a poor run of form that has seen the champions drop down to fifth in the table.
Napoli have also been faced with some concerning news during the international break, as Scott McTominay has been linked with a Premier League return following his heroic performances for Scotland.
The Partenopei will need to put these rumors to the back of their mind as they face Atalanta and La Dea supporters will be eagerly anticipating Raffaele Palladino’s first match in charge.
Marco Di Bello has been selected to officiate this match between two Champions League sides and the Italian referee has made quite the impression during his three Serie A appearances.
The 44-year-old has awarded a penalty or red card in each of his outings this season, sending off Como star Jesus Rodriguez on MD5, awarding two penalties in Juventus 3-1 win over Udinese on MD9 and another spot-kick during Parma’s 2-2 stalemate with AC Milan on MD11.

Sunday 23rd November
Hellas Verona vs Parma – Luca Pairetto
Moving over to Sunday 22nd November now and Luca Pairetto has been handed the responsibility of officiating Hellas Verona vs Parma at Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.
The Italian official has only been the lead official once in Serie A this season, taking charge of Sassuolo’s 2-1 away win over Cagliari on October 30th.
Although Pairetto has only featured once in Italy’s top-flight this season, he has been extremely active in Serie B, while also officiating in the Europa Conference League.
The 41-year-old has been in charge of five matches in Serie B so far, handing out 24 yellow cards along the way – while also awarding four penalties and two red cards in his first three appearances.
Cremonese vs Roma – Giovanni Ayroldi
Cremonese have made an incredible start to their Serie A campaign after earning promotion to the top-flight last season, but face a monstrous task in Roma on November 23rd.
The Giallorossi currently sit second in the table after picking-up 24 points from 11 matches, despite scoring just 12 league goals this season.
Roma are looking to address this issue in January and are reportedly one of the few sides that could sign Santiago Gimenez from AC Milan in January.
Gian Piero Gasperini will not be focusing on this transfer rumor on November 23rd and Roma’s clash against Cremonese will be overseen by Giovanni Ayroldi.
The Italian has taken charge of five Serie A matches this season and this is the second time that Ayroldi will officiate Roma this season, acting as the lead official in the Giallorossi’s 1-0 defeat by Torino on September 14th.
Overall, the 34-year-old has handed out 23 yellow cards in Serie A this season, while also awarding a red card to Ismael Kone during Sassuolo’s defeat by Napoli on the opening day of the campaign.
Lazio vs Lecce – Alberto Arena
Alberto Arena has been selected to officiate the Serie A clash between Lazio and Lecce on November 23rd, as the Italian takes charge of his sixth match in Italy’s first division.
The 33-year-old has been extremely lenient this season, awarding just 15 yellow cards (three per match) but Arena pointed to the penalty spot in his latest Serie A outing.
On November 2nd, Arena awarded a penalty to Pisa during their 2-2 draw with Torino and this was the only time the Italian was forced to make a major decision.
Arena’s lenient approach to matches in Serie A this season may be tested on November 23rd, as Lazio are joint-first for the most red cards in the league – receiving two so far.
Inter Milan vs AC Milan – Simone Sozza
One of the biggest matches in Italian soccer takes place on November 23rd, as Inter Milan and AC Milan face off in the Derby della Madonnina at San Siro.
Interestingly, the Milan derby is set to be the highest grossing Serie A match in history, meaning Simone Sozza will need to be on top form as the Italian has been selected as the lead official.
The Italian referee is one of the truly elite officials in Serie A, being selected for two Champions League matches this season and taking charge of five matches in Italy’s elite division.
Sozza has taken a red card from his pocket in his last four Serie A outings, while also handing out penalties in two consecutive matches.
The 38-year-old has already been in charge of a fierce derby this season, as Sozza handed out two red cards in the Derby della Capitale between Roma and Lazio on September 21st.
Overall, Sozza has dished out 18 yellow cards, five red cards and two penalties during his five Serie A appearances – meaning this Milan derby could be one to remember.

Monday 24th November
Torino vs Como – Kevin Bonacina
Kicking off the action on Monday 24th November will be Torino and Como, as both of these sides look to continue their unbeaten streaks in Serie A.
Cesc Fabregas’ men have avoided defeat in nine consecutive league matches, while Torino are unbeaten from their last six – although both sides have failed to win in their last two.
Kevin Bonacina will take charge of this league encounter, as the Italian official officiates his fifth match in Serie A this season – handing out a red card in his latest outing.
The 32-year-old dismissed Christian Ordonez after the Parma star committed two yellow card offences in a 3-1 defeat by Bologna on November 2nd.
Bonacina has awarded 19 yellow cards in Serie A this season, a tally that could rise on November 23rd as Como rank third for the most bookings in Serie A with 27.
Sassuolo vs Pisa – Davide Di Marco
Matchday 12 will be closed out by Sassuolo and Pisa, as the two newly-promoted sides look to maintain their place in Italy’s top division this season.
Davide Marco has been designated the role as lead referee for this potential relegation six-pointer and the Italian will be taking charge of his first match in Serie A this season.
The Italian has spent the opening stages of this campaign in Serie B, as Di Marco has awarded 16 yellow cards and one penalty in five appearances.
Surprisingly, Di Marco has already refereed Pisa this season, taking charge of the Serie A sides’ penalty shootout victory over Cesena in Coppa Italia on August 17th.
