Hellas Verona Hotshot Giovane Attracting Interest From Bundesliga And Serie A Giants
The race for Giovane is expected to intensify over the coming weeks.
A number of clubs across Italy and Germany are monitoring highly-rated Hellas Verona star Giovane.
The 21-year-old only moved to the Marcantonio Bentegodi in the summer on a free transfer from Corinthians. His immediate impact has already caught the eye and a flurry of bids are expected in January.
As it stands, Verona will endeavor to keep Giovane in Veneto until at least the end of the 2025-26 campaign. However, the Gialloblù’s precarious financial situation may force them into negotiations mid-season.
Giovane Transfer News Reveals Serie A Interest
Last week, FootItalia’s Serie A transfer rumors identified Inter Milan’s interest in Giovane. It’s understood the player’s agent already held preliminary discussions with the Nerazzurri after their matchday 10 clash.
Head coach Cristian Chivu was very impressed by the young forward and is strongly weighing up an offer in the winter transfer window to help clinch the Scudetto in May.
Inter are also monitoring Karim Adeyemi. However, the Borussia Dortmund star will likely stay in Germany until the end of the current campaign.
Meanwhile, the likes of Atalanta, Juventus, AC Milan and Roma are also tracking Giovane’s progress. Raffaele Palladino was a keen admirer during his time with Fiorentina and would welcome the chance to sign him for La Dea.
With Roma hesitant about offering Paulo Dybala a new contract, Giovane could be drafted in as a long-term replacement for the Argentine star.
Milan are also on the lookout for a new attacking threat. Santiago Gimenez and Christoper Nkunku have struggled for the Diavolo this term.
As for Juve, new head coach Luciano Spalletti is unsure whether Dusan Vlahovic will stay in Turin. The former Azzurri boss has cast his eye over a number of potential replacements – which include the Verona starlet.
Will Borussia Dortmund Sign Giovane?
Across the continent, Giovane has caught the attention of Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga giants are on the prowl for a new attacker with Karim Adeyemi’s future uncertain at Signal Iduna Park.
Dortmund have a fine reputation for snaring young talents and selling them on for vast profits. Some examples of which include Jude Bellingham, Jadon Sancho, Ousmane Dembele and Erling Haaland.
With that in mind, a move to Germany will surely excite Giovane. Especially as BVB is considered as one of the best talent-developing clubs across Europe’s top five leagues.
How Much Will The Brazilian Cost?
A number of Italian sports outlets are reporting that Giovane will cost between €15-18million. Naturally, that makes the Brazil Under 20 international extremely affordable in the current market.
Although the forward has just a single Serie A goal to his name – which came against Inter – Giovane has chipped in with three assists as well.
His raw talent is what has drawn most of the plaudits so far and the potential to turn into a global star. Giovane is a versatile forward who is often employed as a false 9 – an attribute of which is favored by a number of top clubs.
Furthermore, his tactical awareness, predatory instincts and ability to operate out wide have all helped heighten his reputation so far in 2025-26.
In terms of who will win the race for his signature? That remains to be seen. One for that is for sure, Giovane isn’t short of admirers and a frenzy is likely to ensue in the coming weeks.
