Juventus Must Focus on New Contracts and Reeling in Spending

Dear Santa, Juventus got off to a pretty rocky start this season. Well, it looks like Luciano Spalletti is helping players see things more clearly.

Juve could capitalize on the Italian Super Cup being played in Saudi Arabia, all the while their favorable festive run continues through to mid-January. If results go their way, they could find themselves firmly in the title race, but they need a playmaker to make that happen.

Manuel Locatelli doesn’t seem to be a fan of Spalletti’s playing style. Also, the ex-Napoli manager wants to switch to a 4-2-3-1 formation and a swap deal for Pierre-Emile Hojberg has been mooted this week.

One the of the most-talked about Serie A transfers involves the highly sought-after Marco Palestra to strengthen the team’s performance on the flanks, but it’s also true that Juventus are focusing on their finances and renewals. Club legend Claudio Marchisio urged Juventus to show restraint in the market, and the most pertinent problems actually lie closer to home.

Kenan Yildiz’s contract is the one that’s important right now, but the two parties are close to reaching an agreement. But we’ve also got Dusan Vlahovic, Weston McKennie and FilipKostic contracts to keep an eye on.

AC Milan Ready to Move For Niclas Fullkrug

AC Milan are excelling under Max Allegri, who has proven once again his ability for getting players back on track, setting standards and delivering results. Milan are currently second in the table, just one point behind Inter, but they’ve also got a lot of injuries, especially up front.

Milan will be without Santiago Giménez for the Italian Super Cup. The charter flight touched down in Riyadh on Tuesday, but the Mexican striker wasn’t on board as he’s still recovering from his injury, which now requires surgery. The player’s been out of action for over a month and a half, and the Rossoneri coach has had to get creative, even putting Rafa Leao in as a false nine.

So, it looks like sporting director Igli Tare is tasked with sorting out Milan’s untenable striker situation, and West Ham’s Niclas Fullkrug has been identified as the likeliest addition.

The German striker isn’t having much luck in London, as you might have guessed, but he’s got talent. Milan wants to get the deal done quickly, and the plan is to have him on loan with an obligation to buy.

Inter Milan Will Look to Replace Denzel Dumfries

Inter sit pretty atop the Serie A table. Christian Chivu has nailed every choice so far and he is repaying the trust of president Giuseppe Marotta that believed in him since day one.

But, of course, problems and injuries are always lurking behind the corner. Inter want young players who are ready to make that step up in quality. With Denzel Dumfries out of action, the team really needs to find a full-back.

The first idea was to test the waters for Brooke Norton-Cuffy, a young up-and-comer with enormous potential – according to his current coach at Genoa, Daniele De Rossi, but it could be a risk despite the low cost of the deal.

The odds have gone up for two Brazilian wingers who play in Serie A and have a minimum of international experience. Wesley’s recent performances (and goals) have got the Nerazzurri management team really interested, but it’s unlikely that Roma will let him go. But the other option could be Dodô of Fiorentina, given the tough time the Viola are having and how they just can’t seem to get out of it.
