“Enough!” on the Touchline: Allegri, Oriali and the Clash That Overshadowed Napoli’s Win
The first Italian Super Cup semifinal in Riyadh ended with Napoli going straight to the final at the same speed as Max Allegri went into the dressing room without greeting Antonio Conte.

The bone of contention was Antonio Conte shouting “enough” at the AC Milan bench following some controversy.
From then on, there was tension, particularly between Max Allegri and Lele Oriali. The atmosphere heated up after half an hour of play when Adrien Rabiot kicked Matteo Politano, who was left lying on the ground in pain.
This prompted his teammates and the Napoli bench to call for the Frenchman to be sent off. However, referee Zufferli did not even give Rabiot a yellow card, despite having done so previously with Rasmum Hojlund for a late tackle on Mike Maignan. This angered Conte and Oriali.
Allegri’s side now out of two domestic competitions, and Milan’s stuttering attack left them short on inspiration once again.
Antonio Conte Takes Aim at AC Milan Bench
The tension was palpable between the two benches throughout the match, with Conte asking everyone to stop towards the end.
At the final whistle, the coaches did not greet each other, at least according to the footage. The incident that sparked it all was Rabiot’s foul on Politano after half an hour, when the Frenchman kicked his opponent while he was on the ground without receiving a card.
Conte greeted Landucci and other Milan players when Zufferli ended the match, but did not come into contact with Allegri. In any case, neither coach mentioned what had happened in front of the microphones with Allegri dismiss the situation by minimising it.
Napoli Take to Social Media to Accuse Max Allegri
After the game, Napoli spoke out on their social media channels to officially address the situation. Here is the note: “SSC Napoli strongly condemns the behaviour of Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri who, during the Italian Super Cup semi-final, in front of dozens of people on the sidelines and live on television, heavily insulted Gabriele Oriali with offensive and repeated terms. We hope that this totally uncontrolled aggression will not go unnoticed, especially since, with 33 cameras involved in the production of the event, it is impossible not to see what happened”.
