Fabio Paratici to Fiorentina is getting ever closer, with one report claiming a provisional start date has already been set for his arrival.
Fiorentina expect Fabio Paratici start date in first full week of January 2026
In recent weeks, speculation linking Paratici to Fiorentina has been rampant.
Now, Calciomercato have reported that the deal is “all done”, with the Viola having made a breakthrough with both Paratici and Tottenham.
The report claims the next few days will see a completion of the final technicalities of the deal.
In the meantime, Tottenham are also looking to bring in a new director in Paratici’s place.
Rafi Moersen, currently part of the Manchester City setup, is reportedly in line to replace Paratici at the London club.
Calciomercato claim Paratici should begin his Fiorentina tenure on Monday, January 5, a day after the Cremonese match.
Paratici’s January plans with time running out for Fiorentina
Paratici will take charge of Fiorentina’s technical area, overseeing recruitment and shaping the club’s wider football strategy.
He will work alongside general manager Alessandro Ferrari – who will maintain contact with President Commisso in America – and sporting director Roberto Goretti.
However, Paratici will have carte blanche over the transfer market and the coaching staff.
The Italian’s arrival comes with Fiorentina fighting to climb away from the bottom end of the table.

Corriere della Sera recently claimed that Paratici will make at least four or five signings in the winter transfer window.
Fiorentina are also likely to listen to offers. Paratici will be deciding who the Viola can rely on and who should move on.
That may mean tough conversations with senior players and those who have struggled for minutes.
There is little time for long-term thinking at present. The immediate target is stability, points, and building a squad capable of surviving the run-in.
For now, the key date is January 5, when Fiorentina expect their new football chief to finally walk through the door.
