‘Complete Failure’: Moise Kean Brutally Slated After Fiorentina Lose At Parma
Parma triumphed in the Serie A relegation six-pointer.

Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has been heavily criticised for his display in Saturday’s Serie A loss to Parma, though he was far from the only Viola flop.

Just six days earlier, Fiorentina appeared to have turned a corner with their superb 5-1 hammering of Udinese.
The Viola’s win narrowed the gap to safety thanks to that comprehensive win, and it looked like they were on the up.
However, Fiorentina returned to old ways as fellow relegation battlers Parma emerged triumphant at the Ennio Tardini Stadium.
Oliver Sorensen was the hosts’ match-winner with an easy header against a static Viola defence in the 48th minute.
Kean dazzled with his brace against Udinese, but he looked lost in the meeting against Parma.
“He’s back to struggling after his two goals against Udinese,” said Eurosport, who gave him 5 out of 10.
“Generous but frenetic, at times selfish, inconclusive. A complete failure.”

Meanwhile, Calciomercato awarded Kean a mere 4.5 out of 10 for his efforts on the day.
“There’s plenty of space, but he can’t capitalize on it,” they began.
“His headers are harmless, and he struggles to control the ball. He’s delivering too many lacklustre performances this season.”
The theme was the same everywhere: harmless headers, heavy touches, and that break when he shot instead of squaring for an unmarked Roberto Piccoli.
Back to the drawing board
Dodo was punished for the goal too. ViolaNews gave 4.5 and called him “bamboozled”, while LaViola.it said he “fell asleep”.
Eurosport were slightly kinder with 5.5, but still pointed to his failure to shut down Sørensen at the decisive moment.
Gudmundsson drew mixed reviews: Tuttomercatoweb gave 5 and questioned his “up and down” influence, while Eurosport and LaViola.it had him 5.5.
Some noted he at least created a big chance for Piccoli and tested Edoardo Corvi late.
However, the wider judgement was that it came too late to change the game for the Viola.
Fiorentina’s hammering Udinese now looks like a false dawn as Parma dragged them straight back into the mire.
There was no edge, no intensity, and far too many players looked surprised by the basic demands of a relegation scrap.
Kean, Gudmundsson and Dodo will take the headlines, but this was a collective failure: soft at the back, blunt up front, and strangely passive after going behind.
If the Viola are serious about pulling clear, they need quicker starts, more leadership in key moments, and far less tolerance for off-days.
One win changes nothing. Consistency changes everything. Back to the drawing board for Paolo Vanoli and co.
If Fabio Paratici joins Fiorentina, he’ll certainly have a lot of work to do over the January transfer window.
And with Dodo and Gudmundsson reportedly keen on leaving, he may well let them go based on how they played against Parma.
