Manor Solomon Closes In On Fiorentina Switch After Undergoing La Viola Medical

Manor Solomon is set to become Fiorentina’s first signing of the January transfer window with an initial loan deal agreed.
Solomon will move to Florence for the remainder of the season before completing a permanent €10million switch, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Israeli international – who currently represents Villarreal – has endured a difficult time with parent club Tottenham.
Solomon was shipped out on a temporary basis to Leeds last season. Whilst at Elland Road, the 26-year-old winger scored ten goals and provided 13 assists as the Whites won the EFL Championship.

Manor Solomon Agrees Fiorentina Transfer
With Fabio Paratici’s Fiorentina arrival now imminent, the sporting director’s first action is to bring Manor Solomon with him from Tottenham.
Solomon will cut short his Villarreal loan to move to Fiorentina. La Viola is rooted to the bottom of Serie A and Paratici has been tasked with overseeing an upturn in fortunes on the pitch.
Naturally, he knows about Solomon’s qualities from his time with Spurs. That despite the 26-year-old only representing the club on five occasions in the English Premier League.
His temporary spells with Leeds and the LaLiga side have impressed Paratici. So much so that he has instructed boss Paolo Vanoli to bring him to the Artemio Franchi.
Solomon is expected to complete his medical on Friday (January 2) before signing on the dotted line. The Israeli will be the first of a number of new additions for Vanoli’s men.
Who Else Could Fiorentina Sign In January?
Once a deal for Manor Solomon is completed, Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin is also a target for Fiorentina. The Romanian defender would likely move on a loan deal to help regain his fitness having just returned from an ACL injury.
Dragusin has plenty of Serie A experience which makes a switch more likely. It’s understood he’d welcome a return to Italy having previously represented Juventus, Sampdoria, Salernitana and Genoa.
Elsewhere, the likes of Jeremie Boga, Diego Coppola, Eric Martel and Udinese’s Sandi Lovric are all under consideration. However, La Viola must be careful from a financial viewpoint.
The club spent over €100million in the summer. Therefore, a number of exits are a necessity. Inter Milan target Dodo is likely to leave. So is Albert Gudmundsson and possibly star man Moise Kean.
Veteran striker Edin Dzeko is also reportedly unhappy in Florence. Amir Richardson, Tommaso Martinelli and Pablo Mari could also be moved on.
