Inter Milan Target Tottenham Hotspur Duo As Azzurri Stars Lose Faith In Thomas Frank
Two Azzurri internationals could be heading back to Italy as Inter Milan prepare a double-swoop.
Inter Milan are preparing a surprise move for Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie as Tottenham continue to struggle under Thomas Frank.
Inter Milan Target Tottenham Duo
The Nerazzurri are looking to take advantage of Tottenham’s poor display this season, as Cristian Chivu targets Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie.
Thomas Frank took charge of the Lilywhites ahead of the 2025/26 campaign after Ange Postecoglou was forced out of North London, but the former Brentford manager has failed to meet expectations.
Spurs currently sit 14th in the Premier League after picking up just five-points from their last seven matches – suffering a crushing defeat by West Ham in their latest outing.
The Lilywhites are now nine-points away from the top four and 10-points from the relegation zone, which has added huge pressure on Frank’s shoulders/
Tottenham were also eliminated from the FA Cup on January 10th after a 2-1 defeat by Aston Villa and these poor performances have left multiple stars questioning their future in North London.
Vicario has been heavily linked with a move elsewhere after an inconsistent showing this season, while Udogie has not played for the club since December 2nd.
The 23-year-old has been struggling with a hamstring issue and only returned to the matchday squad during the FA Cup defeat by Aston Villa.
According to reports, the Italian duo are concerned over Tottenham’s future under Frank and would consider a move back to Serie A in 2026.
Another Azzurri star has been linked with a move back to Italy, as Gianluigi Donnarumma’s agent dropped a huge bombshell over the Italian’s future in Manchester.
The former AC Milan star has been ahead of Vicario in the Italian goalkeeper pecking order for multiple tournaments now and the Spurs shot-stopper may be tempted by a move back to Italy in hopes of catching Gennaro Gattuso’s eye.
Cristian Chivu Prepares €70m Offer
The Tottenham Hotspur duo still have multiple years remaining on their deals in England, with Vicario’s contract expiring in June 2028 and Udogie’s come to an end in June 2030.
This means Inter will need to make a monstrous offer to complete a move for both players, as the Nerazzurri are planning on making a combined offer instead of separate bids.
Cristian Chivu is set to make some huge moves in the summer window, as Inter target Nico Paz and a host of Premier League stars – meaning the club will need to build up some funds.
David Frattesi, Stefan de Vrij, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Francesco Acerbi have all been linked with a move elsewhere this year, which could have a huge impact on the Nerazzurri’s business.
Inter are willing to commit €70million of their overall budget to bring in both Vicario and Udogie this summer, as a January move is off the cards.
