According to the latest Nico Paz transfer news, Inter Milan is set to join the race for the Como star.

A report from Corriere dello Sport explains that the Inter hierarchy wants to go toe-to-toe with Real Madrid for the Argentine ace.

Paz has been heavily tipped to rejoin the LaLiga giants in the summer. However, the Nerazzurri’s American owners – Oaktree – are demanding a marquee addition to Cristian Chivu’s squad.

They believe signing someone of Paz’s profile will help improve the club’s global reach. Not only that, it will add long-term value as the Serie A giants seek domestic and European glory.

Nico Paz Transfer News Reveals Inter Milan Interest

Even though Nico Paz’s Real Madrid transfer has reportedly been agreed with the player and Spanish giants, Inter Milan are trying to muscle in on the deal.

The Nerazzurri firmly believe they can lure Paz to the San Siro next season. Compatriot and international teammate Lautaro Martinez is understood to be keen to get the Como star on board.

El Toro is expected to play a pivotal role in the pursuit of Paz. Oaktree also believes his influence will prove vital and if the Scudetto can be achieved, that could tip the scales in Inter’s favor.

Meanwhile, Inter are targeting Enzo Fernandez. The Argentine World Cup winner knows Martinez and Paz very well and has also been shortlisted for a summer switch to Italy having become disillusioned at Chelsea.

Who Will Nico Paz Sign For?

Although Nico Paz’s €9million buyback clause is expected to be exercised by Real Madrid, it’s not clear whether the Como star will be a key member of the Los Blancos squad.

Especially after Xabi Alonso’s dismissal and Alvaro Arbeloa’s temporary appointment. It will be unsettling from Paz’s perspective and the new permanent head coach may favor other players over the 21-year-old.

That indecision and potential lack of playing time could prove hugely beneficial from Inter Milan’s point of view. They know just how lethal Paz is and the 21-year-old is one of Serie A’s finest.

His exploits at the Sinigaglia have made him become one of the most desirable attackers on the continent. The Nerazzurri are on the lookout for new global superstars and believe that Paz fits the bill.

Naturally, a lot will happen between now and the time when Paz does decide to move on. From Cristian Chivu’s standpoint, he’ll firmly believe that Inter can offer Paz a more stable platform than Madrid to perform on.
