Enzo Fernandez is reportedly questioning his future with Chelsea and the Argentine could complete a move to Serie A this summer.

Enzo Fernandez Considers Chelsea Future

The Argentina international has shown signs of concern over his situation in England, after Chelsea parted ways with Enzo Maresca and replaced the Italian with Liam Rosenior.

Fernandez became the most expensive player in Premier League history in January 2023, as the Argentine joined Chelsea for €121million.

Since then, the 24-year-old has gone on to make 145 appearances for the Blues and picked up a Europa Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup.

The 2025/26 campaign has seen Fernandez become one of Chelsea’s most important players, captaining the Blues on seven occasions in the Premier League.

Despite this increased responsibility, Fernandez is reportedly disappointed with the club’s decision to part ways with Enzo Maresca.

The Italian was relieved of his duties after a falling-out with the Chelsea board, just days before the now Lazio-linked Ruben Amorim was dismissed by Manchester United.

Fernandez had a strong relationship with Enzo Maresca and Chelsea’s recent performances have added further stress to the Argentine’s situation in England.

The Blues are currently eighth in the table and are winless from their last five Premier League matches – dampening the Blues’ chances of Champions League qualification.

Serie A Side To Battle PSG For Enzo Fernandez

Fernandez’s disappointment in Chelsea’s recent form has sent alarm bells around Europe and the Argentinian could be heading to Serie A this summer.

Inter Milan are preparing a monstrous move for the Chelsea star ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, as Cristian Chivu prepares a huge overhaul.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with multiple players for both the January and summer window, including a move for Harry Maguire and Fernandez could be the latest addition to Chivu’s ranks.

Bringing in a midfielder may be a priority for Chivu as Inter could see Hakan Calhanoglu, David Frattesi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all move on in 2026.

Signing Fernandez will not be an easy feat for the Italian side, as the Argentinian midfielder still has six-years remaining on his current deal in Chelsea.

The Blues are unlikely to offload the 24-year-old this summer, but the Premier League Giants may consider a bid at around the €125-130m mark.
