Inter Plotting Ambitious Move For £80m Manchester United Star
Harry Maguire is open to swapping Manchester United for Serie A.
Inter are the latest Serie A club considering a sensational move for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
The Nerazzurri are in the process of strengthening their defensive ranks and are closing on one new arrival.
A deal involving Branimir Mlacic and Inter is making good progress, with hopes of a medical being booked soon.
However, Inter want a ‘revolution’ for their squad, and Maguire could potentially form part of a new guard at the back.
Harry Maguire dossier is on Inter desk but AC Milan, Napoli and Fiorentina also in picture
Harry Maguire is out of contract this summer at Manchester United, which means a big move away is on the cards.
He can already sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of England, which means the likes of Inter could land him for free next season.
However, Tuttomercatoweb has deemed a January departure ‘more likely’, with Man United able to recoup some money.
Footitalia previously covered reports of AC Milan and Napoli wanting Maguire as his Old Trafford career draws to an end.
Now, TMW have claimed that Inter and Fiorentina are also in picture for the £80million Englishman.

Inter could look to Maguire as a replacement for Francesco Acerbi or Stefan de Vrij, who could leave in summer.
The report claims Inter have the Maguire dossier on their desk, while Napoli and Fiorentina are also keen.
What needs to happen for Harry Maguire to join Inter
Maguire is an experienced, tall and physical player who boasts aerial strength, leadership in the box, and superb heading abilities.
He would certainly tick most of Inter’s boxes, but a deal for Maguire would be somewhat complicated at present.
TMW say a loan for Maguire is not possible, with Manchester United only considering a permanent transfer.
That is partly because Maguire’s contract runs until June 2026, after United triggered a one-year extension in 2025.
Maguire would need to take a major pay cut to make Serie A wages workable for interested clubs.
This is something the 32-year-old and his camp are aware of, with ‘discussions under way’.
Maguire would be a coup for most of Europe’s elite clubs, and his no-nonsense defending style would go down a treat in Italy.
