AC Milan Set To Continue Christian Pulisic Contract Talks In The Spring

The latest Christian Pulisic contract update has revealed that AC Milan will resume negotiations with the USMNT star in Spring. 

Milan is determined to tie their talismanic leader down for the long-term after his San Siro heroics over the last two-and-a-half seasons.

As it stands, Pulisic’s current deal expires in 2027. However, AC does have the option to extend for a further 12 months but want him to commit to a bumper deal until at least 2029.

Last month, it was reported that Christian Pulisic’s main contract request was to see a sizable salary increase. Something of which AC Milan are happy to offer.

Nonetheless, the two parties are still someway off what they believe is a suitable figure. Pulisic currently banks approximately €5million per year, according to Capology.

That puts him behind the likes of summer-signing Christopher Nkunku, Adrien Rabiot, Luka Modric, Rafael Leao and Youssouf Fofana.

Nkunku and Rabiot each earn around €9m per annum. Pulisic wants to at least earn on par with the French duo but the Rossoneri will only offer €7-8m. Meaning talks have stalled until March.

There is still plenty of optimism that an agreement can be reached. Especially if head coach Max Allegri can lead his charges to silverware this season or even secure Champions League soccer.

Pulisic is widely regarded as the greatest US players of all-time and naturally, wants a pay packet that reflects his status as a global superstar who has continuously impressed in Serie A and on the international scene.

Since joining AC Milan in the summer of 2023, no Rossoneri star has contributed more goal contributions for the club. As it stands, ‘Captain America‘ has 42 goals and 25 assists to his name from 119 appearances in all competitions.

In Italy’s elite, only Lautaro Martinez has more goal contributions in the same time frame. Further highlighting just how vital the USMNT skipper has become.

Pulisic’s two-goal Torino haul in early December saw the local and national press praise his continued brilliance. A viewpoint that is shared by AC fans all over the world.

This season alone, Pulisic has scored ten times and chipped in with two assists. He is currently the second-highest scorer in Serie A – bettered only by Inter Milan megastar Martinez.

When his contract talks do resume, it’s in AC’s best interest to offer the 27-year-old what he wants. If not, Manchester United’s interest in Pulisic will likely heighten. In fact, a frenzy from Europe’s elite will ensue if he decides to quit the San Siro.
