Brozovic provides Inter with major boost ahead of Derby D’Italia

Inter have received a significant boost within their squad as holding midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is recovering very well from his muscular injury.

According to reports from Calciomercato, the defensive midifelder has returned to training with the first squad and is very much in contention to feature in the Nerazzurri’s vital fixture against Juventus on Turin soil.

Since the 30 year-old sustained a muscular injury while on international duty, the Croatian international has missed a total of nine outings for the Milanese club. As a result, Inzaghi has filled the void by placing Turkish international Hakan Calhanoglu within the deep-lying playmaker role on the pitch.

With Inter looking to fend off Juventus and make a push towards the top four, having the Croat as an option could be vital for Inzaghi in order to seal all three points in a difficult atmosphere.
