Alphadjo Cisse to AC Milan has seemingly slipped under the radar in terms of the January transfer window as a whole.
However, a new report from Italy suggests that the Rossoneri feel they have struck gold by signing him from Hellas Verona.
The Rossoneri confirmed the deal in an official statement, with reports claiming Cisse cost Milan €8m plus €1.5m bonuses.
Milan have also confirmed that Cisse will remain Serie B side Catanzaro on loan until the end of the season.
Now, a report from Italy have explained the plan the Rossoneri have for the Italy youth international.

Alphadjo Cisse is now on AC Milan’s books, but their agreement with Verona stipulated that he would stay on loan at Catanzaro.
According to Calciomercato, Milan expect him to have a strong second half of the season in Calabria.
The Rossoneri will also plan out goals for him to achieve while gaining minutes and experience at Catanzaro.
At the end of the season, Cisse will return to Milanello for Milan’s mid-July training camp.
At that point, Massimiliano Allegri will decide whether to invest in Cisse immediately by naming him in the first-team.
Alternatively, Milan will find him a team and an interesting project in Serie A to loan him out for the 2026/27 season.

Milan scouts have reportedly been tracking Alphadjo Cisse for at least two years. Despite this, the speed of the deal still surprised many supporters.
The negotiations with Verona were wrapped up in under 48 hours, despite strong interest from PSV Eindhoven.
Everything seemed done with PSV before Milan’s offensive which ‘leveraged their privileged relationships with Cisse’s agents’.
Now, Milan have a player who has been likened to Lamine Yamal and has been described by Calciomercato as the potential ‘future of the Italian national team’.
The Rossoneri themselves have described Cisse as ‘one of the most exciting prospects of his generation’.
It’ll be exciting to see how Cisse gets on at Catanzaro and what Milan then decide to do in pre-season.
