Atalanta are set to meet with Hellas Verona as they try to thrash out a deal for Swedish defender Isak Hien. The 24-year-old arrived in Verona last season, and despite their poor form in the 2022-23 season, the youngster was one of the brighter prospects in their squad.
Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that La Dea are pushing for Hien to bolster their defence ahead of next season and have already scheduled a meeting with Verona to discuss the centre-back.
After meeting with Hien’s agent, Blash Hussein, Atalanta executives will meet with Verona executives this week to discuss the young Swede’s future. Atalanta will insist on signing the young talent having already met several times with the player’s agent.
