Bologna Identify Axel Disasi To Replace Contract Rebel Jhon Lucumi
The former France star will be looking for new employment in 2026.

According to the latest Axel Disasi transfer news, Bologna have identified the Chelsea outcast to replace Jhon Lucumi.
Disasi is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and a transfer in January appears imminent. The 27-year-old has yet to feature under head coach Enzo Maresca in any senior competition in 2025-26.
Interest in Disasi is expected to be plentiful when the window opens in two weeks. And one of the Frenchman’s potential suitors comes in the shape of the current Coppa Italia holders.

In the summer, Juventus targeted Axel Disasi but a deal never came to fruition. Although the Old Lady has kept tabs on Disasi, it’s Bologna who are set to push on to try and land the defender.
The Rossoblu are expected to add new recruits in January with head coach Vincenzo Italiano prioritizing a new center-back.
Disasi fits the bill that Italiano is looking for. However, the 27-year-old’s lack of match practice is slightly concerning. If the Serie A side were to strike a deal, he would need time to get up to speed.
Whether the potential transfer would be on loan or permanent remains to be seen. A temporary move with an obligation to buy has been discussed for a fee in the region of €25million.
If Bologna are keen on Disasi, they’ll have to move quick. A number of clubs in England are all keeping track as are the likes of AC Milan, Galatasaray and Borussia Dortmund.
Will Jhon Lucumi Quit Bologna?
After Bologna set Jhon Lucumi’s price tag, it appears that the Colombian could be set for a January exit. Sunderland is his most likely destination.
The Black Cats came close to landing Lucumi in the summer. However, a deal couldn’t be agreed and he remained in Emilia-Romagna.
Lucumi is considered one of Vincenzo Italiano’s star players. A new contract is unlikely to be penned so cashing-in next month seems to be the most suitable solution.
Hence why Italiano is keen to bring Axel Disasi to the Renato Dall’Ara. In fact, the 27-year-old has similar traits and attributes to Lucumi which would make for a smooth transition.
There is still a slither of hope that Lucumi can be convinced to stay. Nonetheless, Disasi is very much on standby to come in if Lucumi moves to England.
Disasi is very much open to the idea of playing in Italy and Italiano has been a long-term admirer.
