Genoa Full-Back Brooke Norton-Cuffy Wanted By Everton

Brooke Norton-Cuffy has emerged as a transfer target for English Premier League side Everton. 

The Toffees have thrown their name into the mix for the Genoa star who is gaining plenty of interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

Current employers Genoa are bracing themselves for a number of bids for their star full-back. Norton-Cuffy moved to Il Grifone in August 2024 and has made 36 appearances for the Serie A side.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy Wanted By Everton

Although interest in Brooke Norton-Cuffy temporarily faded owing to a slight muscle problem earlier this month, his speedy recovery and return to action has prompted his admirers to take note.

The former Arsenal defender could well be on his way back to England in the coming days. Everton’s interest has heightened owing to the Merseysiders need for a new right-back.

Jake O’Brien has often played on the right-side of defense but head coach David Moyed prefers to utilize O’Brien in the center. And with Nathan Patterson’s future uncertain, Norton-Cuffy is deemed as the ideal solution.

Genoa has targeted Tristan Crama as a precaution in case Norton-Cuffy does move on. Naturally, Daniele De Rossi will want to keep the 22-year-old at the Luigi Ferraris but a €20-25million bid could be hard to refuse.

Meanwhile, the likes of Newcastle and West Ham are also monitoring Norton-Cuffy’s situation. But De Rossi will be more wary of Serie A sides pursuing his star man.

Serie A Interest Ramps Up

Inter Milan and Juventus are keeping a close eye on Brooke Norton-Cuffy. The Nerazzurri are seeking a solution at right-wing back owing to Denzel Dumfries injury.

Much has been made of the Dutchman’s long-term future so drafting in Norton-Cuffy does make sense. As for Juve, head coach Luciano Spalletti has been keen to boost his defensive options.

The former Azzurri boss has made a positive start in the dugout at the Allianz and he is set to stay on in Turin as the Bianconeri try to get back to their former glories.

Both Serie A giants are in the Champions League playoff phase which may well tilt the scales in their favor over Everton. Newcastle is too but it’s not known whether Norton-Cuffy wants to extend his stay in Italy.

Over the course of the next few days, a number of inquiries are set to land in Genoa’s inbox. If they can keep hold of him this winter, it will give Il Grifone’s survival chances a huge boost.
