Davide Frattesi’s Agent Holds Preliminary Talks With Juventus Over Potential January Switch
The 26-year-old was part of the roster who won the Scudetto in 2023-24.
Davide Frattesi could be on the move next month after Juventus opened negotiations with the Inter Milan star’s agent.
Frattesi has only started one Serie A game this season and has accumulated just 198 minutes on the pitch in total. The midfielder has not featured in Italy’s elite since the 2-0 victory over Lazio on November 9.
Having fallen down the pecking order under Cristian Chivu, Frattesi wants to earn more game time to give himself the best chance of making the Azzurri World Cup squad. Assuming they progress to the finals.
Davide Frattesi Transfer News
After Denzel Dumfries swapped agents earlier this week, sparking rumors he could quit Inter Milan, the representative of Davide Frattesi continues to discuss his client’s future with Juventus.
Frattesi has a solid relationship with Luciano Spalletti from their time with the national side. That in itself could be the deciding factor in persuading the 26-year-old to move to the Bianconeri.
Spalletti is more than happy to bring Frattesi on board next month. Discussions with the midfielder’s entourage are progressing positively and all that remains is for Inter and Juve to agree upon a transfer fee.
How Much Will Davide Frattesi Cost?
According to TransferMarkt, Davide Frattesi is valued at €35million and has three-and-a-half years to run on his current deal.
It’s likely a deal around the €30m mark could be agreed upon. If Juventus are unwilling to spend that figure on one player in January, a loan with an obligation to buy is also a feasible option.
Frattesi is desperate for more time on the pitch and will endeavor to push through the move via his agent. However, it’s a package that would need to satisfy both parties so it may take a few more weeks to come to fruition.
Who Else Are Juventus Looking To Sign?
Another contender for a midfield berth in Turin is Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka. The German international is in the final six months of his contract and is expected to leave the Allianz Arena in the summer.
Long-term Juventus target Marco Palestra is wanted in January after his blistering form for Cagliari. The wing-back could be available for around €35m.
Juve has not given up hope of signing Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi. Like Goretzka, the England star’s contract is on it’s final leg and a mid-season switch remains possible.
However, it’s more likely a pre-contract agreement would be the more viable solution. That is if Liverpool decide against signing Guehi as they remain his favored destination.
Elsewhere, Ruslan Malinovskyi, Tiago Gabriel and Adam Marusic have all been mentioned. The latter currently represents Lazio and is also set for a free transfer.
