The Europa League predictions for matchday 3 are in and they bode very well for Serie A sides Bologna and Roma.

FootItalia’s AI supercomputer has forecast the scores of all 18 fixtures being played on Thursday. Whilst there are some potential shocks on the cards, Italy’s representatives won’t fall foul of a minor upset.

The Rossoblu – who gained entry for Europe’s secondary club competition by winning the 2024-25 Coppa Italia – will take on Romania’s FCSB at the National Arena in Bucharest.

As for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, they will face Viktoria Plzen at the Stadio Olimpico. The Giallorossi are currently 15th in the standings whereas Bologna are 27th.

Europa League AI Predictions – Thursday

With a new Riccardo Orsolini Bologna contract reportedly on the horizon, the Rossoblu star is expected to be pivotal against FCSB on Thursday.

Vincenzo Italiano’s men are yet to win but the Europa League predictions forecast the Coppa Italia winners to get off the mark in Romania.

As for Roma, the Serie A giants beat Nice in the league opener. However, they lost to fellow Ligue 1 side Lille last time out. Artem Dovbyk missed two penalties before Argentina’s Matias Soule also failed from the spot.

FCSB Vs Bologna Predictions: Riccardo Orsolini’s Hot Streak Continues

Ever since the Europa League draw was made in August, Riccardo Orsolini was fancied to be one of the competition’s top scorers. And according to FootItalia’s AI supercomputer, he will do his chances no harm at all on Thursday.

A 2-1 victory is forecast for Bologna with Orsolini netting both goals. The Azzurri international already has five goals to his name in Serie A and netted in the 1-1 draw with Freiburg last time out.

The Rossoblu’s star man is forecast to score the opener after 18 minutes before Florin Tanase equalises for the hosts shortly after half-time. However, Orsolini will score the winner with 12 minutes left.

Roma Vs Viktoria Plzen Predictions: Evan Ferguson Ends Goal Drought

After Evan Ferguson scored four goals on his Roma debut in pre-season, it appeared the Giallorossi had pulled off something of a masterstroke by signing the Irish striker on loan.

However, the 21-year-old has not hit the heights expected of him but he will at least net his first competitive goal under Gian Piero Gasperini on Thursday, according to our AI supercomputer.

Ferguson is set to score the third and final goal in a comfortable 3-1 win. Matias Soule will open the scoring early on with Paulo Dybala doubling the hosts lead. Rafiu Durosinmi will net just after the hour mark.
