Juventus Plot January Swoop For Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia
The Spaniard is firmly on Juve's radar.
Gonzalo Garcia could be on his way to Italy with Juventus leading the race for the Real Madrid forward.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Garcia has been identified by the Serie A giants as they look to enhance their attack going into the new year.
Head coach Luciano Spalletti is keen to get fresh personnel on board to help sustain the Bianconeri’s title push. As it stands, the Old Lady are four points from the summit but have scored less than all but one of their Scudetto rivals.

Gonzalo Garcia Transfer News
In early October, Como targeted Gonzalo Garcia but their interest has since cooled. Lariani boss Cesc Fabregas is still understood to be keeping an eye on Garcia but Juventus are the favorites to sign the Spaniard.
The 21-year-old starred for Real Madrid Castilla in 2024-25 but has since struggled for the senior side. Head coach Xabi Alonso is happy to let Garcia leave next month.
Brazilian wonderkid Endrick is on his way to Lyon for the remainder of the season. That should afford Napoli target Franco Mastantuono more game-time.
Real have insisted the Argentina international is not leaving the club in January. Therefore, that paves the way for Garcia to seek a new venture with Juve.
Is Kenan Yildiz Quitting Juventus?
Gianluca Di Marzio insists that Juventus have identified Gonzalo Garcia as a potential replacement for Kenan Yildiz. The Juve poster boy has an army of admirers after his glowing performances in Turin.
Although Yildiz’s contract talks are progressing – with the Bianconeri set to make him the club’s highest earner – the Old Lady are seeking back up options just in-case the Turkish superstar quits the Allianz.
Garcia typically plays as a center-forward but can operate on both flanks. Positions of which Yildiz can also cover but he predominantly plays as an attacking left-winger.
Naturally, Juve does not want to lose their most prized asset but Luciano Spalletti firmly believes that Garcia is a sensible and affordable option to draft into his roster.
Is Gonzalo Garcia The Answer To Juventus’ Lack Of Firepower?
With Kenan Yildiz being the exception, Juventus don’t have an out-and-out goalscorer to rely upon. Summer signing Jonathan David has struggled somewhat.
The Canadian international has just three goals to his name in 23 outings. Fellow off-season addition Lois Openda has also failed to adapt and has just two goals so far this season.
Even though he hinted at a new deal, contract rebel Dusan Vlahovic is ruled out injured until March. Before Vlahovic underwent surgery earlier this month on a muscle tear, the Serbian striker had rattled home six goals in all comps.
Vlahovic was used mainly from the bench under Igor Tudor but the problem is still clear, Juve is lacking a genuine goal-getter. Gonzalo Garcia could be the answer but he has failed to find the back of the net since the Club World Cup.
On that basis, it’s a brave decision for the Italian giants to make. Garcia certainly has the potential and gaining valuable minutes in Serie A can help Juve’s cause but only time will tell if it pays off.
