According to the latest Franco Mastantuono transfer news, the Real Madrid prodigy will not be joining Napoli on loan in January.

The Argentina wonderkid is viewed as a key member of Real’s roster and the club will not entertain any offers for the South American star.

Mastantuono only moved to the Bernabeu in the summer for a fee of €45million from River Plate. The 18-year-old right-winger is already Los Blancos’ youngest player to debut in the Champions League.

Franco Mastantuno Transfer News – Napoli Move Turned Down

Before Christmas, Real Madrid winger Franco Mastantuono was linked with a temporary move away from the European giants. Naturally, that caught the attention of a number of Italy’s elite.

One of those clubs were Napoli. The Serie A champions are looking to increase their attacking options heading into the second-half of 2025-26.

However, Spanish outlet Marca claimed that I Partenopei’s loan approach has been rejected. There are further claims that Antonio Conte’s side wanted Mastantuono permanently.

A figure of €50m has been mooted but again, Real aren’t willing to let their young prodigy leave. Especially as they view the Argentina international as an important squad player.

As an alternative, Napoli’s pursuit of Oscar Bobb has started to gather momentum. The Manchester City winger is set to leave on a temporary basis next month and Conte is keen to strike a deal.

Latest Napoli Transfer Rumors

With the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Billy Gilmour and Frank Anguissa injured, Napoli is expected to be extremely busy in the January transfer window.

The trio are all out for the long-term so Antonio Conte has his work cut out. Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher is very much on Conte’s radar.

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo is also a target. Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim doesn’t view Mainoo as a key part of his plans and a loan move has been on the cards for the last few months.

Meanwhile, Sassuolo winger Armand Lauriente is also a strong consideration. The Frenchman has six goal involvements in 17 Serie A appearances so far this season.

Nonetheless, the 2025 Supercoppa winners will do very well to find a talent as exciting as Franco Mastantuono. Conte knows just how brilliant the 18-year-old can be but he will have to focus on other options.
