Serie A Sides On Red Alert As Real Madrid Wonderkid Franco Mastantuono Seeks Loan Move

Franco Mastantuono is reportedly planning to leave Real Madrid on loan which in turn, has pricked the ears of a number of Serie A teams. 

The hugely talented wonderkid has enjoyed a successful debut campaign so far at the Bernabeu. However, the 18-year-old starlet is keen to get more minutes under his belt.

Mastantuono has ambitions of making Argentina’s World Cup squad and believes he can achieve his dream if Los Blancos allows him to leave on a temporary basis.

Widely tipped to achieve Galactico status at Real Madrid, Franco Mastantuono could be heading to Italy in the January transfer window.

He has aspirations of mirroring a number of compatriots in Serie A. Including Argentina’s Matias Soule who is making great progress at Roma.

FootItalia sources confirmed that Liverpool are targeting Soule as a potential replacement for Mo Salah. Something of which highlights just how far Soule has come.

From Mastantuono’s perspective, he too wants to sit at the same table as the world’s finest. He actually has duel Argentine-Italian citizenship so an Azzurri move is very likely.

Naturally, a plethora of teams will all be keen to add Mastantuono to their ranks. He typically plays as an attacking right-winger but can also be utilized just behind the forwards.

That would probably rule out the Giallorossi as Soule plays in that position. However, the remaining big clubs as well as those in mid-table will all be expected to make inquiries into Masantuono in the coming weeks.

Since joining Real Madrid from River Plate in the summer for €45million, Franco Mastantuono has already demonstrated what he is all about.

An excellent dribbler with fantastic ball-striking abilities, Mastantuono has made 14 appearances and chipped in with one goal and assist across all competitions.

He is already the youngest player to debut for Real in the Champions League. Doing so in the 2-1 victory over Marseille on September 16, 2025.

His assist came in the 5-0 rout against Karat Almaty in the same competition two weeks after the win against the Ligue 1 giants.

Mastantuono scored his single goal in the 4-1 thrashing against Levante on September 23. The three-cap Argentinian wonderkid finished with aplomb having been teed up by Vini Jr.
