Will Dusan Vlahovic Sign A New Deal With Juventus? Serbian Set For Major Turnaround In Turin

Dusan Vlahovic looked set to leave Juventus this summer, however, the Serbian could complete a huge turnaround with rumors over a new contract starting to circulate.

Why Did Juventus Not Sell Dusan Vlahovic?

The majority of this past summer was taken up by headlines surrounding Dusan Vlahovic, as the Serbian appeared to be on his way out of Turin following a run of injuries.

However, the Bianconeri did not receive any appropriate offers for the former Fiorentina star, despite rumors of interest from AC Milan and Newcastle.

His position within the club has also been strengthened after a strong start to the 2025/26 season, as Vlahovic has scored in both Serie A matches so far after coming off the bench.

Juventus were one of the biggest spenders during the summer transfer window and brought in two more striker options, signing Jonathan David and Lois Openda.

Both of these players are set to feature heavily, but if Vlahovic continues to impress the Juve manager then it will become impossible to remove him from the side.

Vlahovic’s quality is clear to see, contributing to 74 goals in 147 matches for Juventus (60G + 14A) and the Old Lady would only sell the Serbian for around $35 million.

However, the 36-time Serie A champions face a slight issue as the 25-year-old is now in his final year and will be available as a free agent after this season.

Additionally, Vlahovic can also enter pre-contract negotiations during the January transfer window, which has put Juventus on high alert over a possible extension.

Will Dusan Vlahovic Sign New Contract With Juventus?

Signing a new contract with Juventus seemed extremely unlikely for Vlahovic, with many fans expecting the Serbian to leave and find a new home during the summer.

His recent performances from the bench have shown how valuable he could be for the Bianconeri and Igor Tudor has reportedly not ruled out the idea of a new deal.

The Serbian is one of the favourites to win the Serie A Golden Boot if he stays in Italy and Juve will not be looking to lose the prolific goalscorer as a free agent.

Not only would the Turin-based side lose a star player, the club would also take a huge loss overall as Juventus signed Vlahovic for around $90 million in January 2022.

Juventus and Vlahovic have not entered negotiations over a new deal at this current moment in time, however, Tudor has been full of praise for the Serbian – potentially pushing for a fresh contract.

Tudor said: “I’ll repeat what I have already said. In this month and a half of preparation he has always been focused, he has worked as an example.

“Comolli said he is staying and I’m happy. He is a strong player and hopefully he keeps up this scoring rate, which is no small thing.

“Only two games have been played. I want to go match by match and do our best in the next one. Stay focused and train well, then we’ll see where this mindset and way of working takes us.”
