Liverpool Turn To Inter Defender Denzel Dumfries After Jeremie Frimpong Injury
The Dutchman's future at Inter remains uncertain.

Liverpool have reportedly turned to Inter full-back Denzel Dumfries as a potential replacement for Jeremie Frimpong.
Dumfries is on the mend after ankle surgery and could be back in action sooner than initially expected.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have been left sweating after Frimpong limped out of the Champions League win over Qarabag.
Reds head coach Arne Slot has since revealed that Frimpong could miss “a few weeks” of action.

Denzel Dumfries also faces an uncertain future at Inter at this moment in time.
Dumfries’ change of agent was a hint that he could actively be seeking a new club.
FootItalia reported that the Dutchman had parted ways with Jorge Mendes in December.
In addition, Inter have been eyeing alternatives, such as Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Ivan Perisic.
With that in mind, Liverpool have now made enquiries about Dumfries, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Liverpool have done so in the wake of Frimpong’s injury, added the Italian transfer expert.
Much will depend on Dumfries final recovery time and, of course, on the Nerazzurri’s final decision.
When Dumfries could be back in action
Denzel Dumfries is currently still on the sidelines, but recent reports suggest he could be back by mid-February.
FootItalia relayed reports claiming Dumfries is aiming to return by the time Inter face Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League playoffs.
At the same time, if Frimpong is expected to be out “a few weeks”, he could potentially return to action at the same time as Dumfries.
That said, if Dumfries really is looking for a move away, then Liverpool will fancy their chances of bringing the Dutchman to Anfield.
Liverpool may be performing well below expectations in the English Premier League, but they’ve been doing well in the Champions League.
Arne Slot’s side finished third in the group stage and will not have to navigate the playoffs for the last 16.
