Milan Andrej Kostic Transfer Talks Reopen
Milan returns to Andrej Kostic. The Rossoneri, who’d already been in touch with Partizan Belgrade last December, have gone back on the offensive, aiming to bring him to Milanello as early as this January transfer window. Kostic is a centre forward who was born in 2007, and he can play as a striker or second striker.
People are already comparing him to Dusan Vlahovic, and they even have the same agent. Even though he hasn’t been playing much this season, he’s still his team’s second-highest scorer.
Why Milan Believe in Kostic
He scored in the Italy-Montenegro Under-21 match in La Spezia on 5 September. It was the first goal, but then Lipani and Koleosho got the better of him. At Milan, Andrej Kostic was going to start with Milan Futuro, and then try to convince Allegri to give him a shot in the first team. The Rossoneri are offering €4-5 million and are expecting a response from the Belgrade club soon.
It’s clear that Milan has a lot of young talent (like Francesco Camarda at Lecce). So, if Kostic wants to become a Milan player, he’ll have to earn his place in the team, game after game.
Does the deal involving Kostic make the Vlahović one any better?
As said, Andrej Kostic has the same agent as Dusan Vlahovic. There’s always been a chance that Juventus’ number 9 might wear the Rossoneri shirt, but not this season or the next.
His relationship with Massimiliano Allegri could be important, and, surprisingly, Jonathan David’s recent goals could also mean that Juventus will sell the former Fiorentina striker, as they already wanted to do this summer to reduce their wage bill.
I’ve heard that Juventus are also very interested in Crystal Palace’s Philippe Mateta, which would push Vlahovic even further away from Juventus. At that point, Milan would be the club closest to signing him on a free transfer.
