Milan Derby And Rabiot’s Importance – Wednesday’s Italian Sports Papers (11/12/2025)

La Gazzetta Dello Sport

When the Serie A transfers were concluded in September, the capture of Adrien Rabiot went slightly under the radar. However, the AC Milan midfielder has been pivotal to the Rossoneri this season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Frenchman will be working hard to regain fitness for the Milan Derby on matchday 12. For head coaches Cristian Chivu and Max Allegri – it’s a long wait.

Meanwhile, Kenan Yildiz’s contract talks aren’t going as smoothly as hoped. Zeki Celik and Mike Maignan have been identified as transfer targets for the Bianconeri.

Gennaro Gattuso is set to opt for Gianluca Scammaca and Giacomo Raspadori up top in Italy’s crucial World Cup qualifiers. Stanislav Lobotka, Noa Lang and Kevin De Bruyne are reportedly unhappy in Naples.

Corriere Dello Sport

The latest on Dusan Vlahovic’s contract renewal is the main headline in Corriere dello Sport. A meeting in May has been touted by newly-appointed Juventus CEO Damien Comolli.

Luciano Spalletti has already pinpointed a number of targets who he wants to bring to the Bianconeri. Comolli also went on to add that it’s a new era at the Allianz and he desires success above all else.

Napoli’s Stanislav Lobotka claims he could leave Gli Azzurri this summer. However, he praises head coach Antonio Conte and claims he is like a father.

Tuttosport

I wake up every day with an obsession: what I can do to make this club win again. When I look at the Allianz Stadium, I see 38 Scudetti. Before every game, I think about the 39th,” Damien Comolli told Tuttosport.

Comolli also went on to say that there is an agreement in place with Dusan Vlahovic and his future will be discussed at the end of the season.

The Serbian has been strongly linked with an Allianz Stadium exit but the general feeling is that he may stay in Turin. Champions League qualification will be essential to keeping the striker on board.
