Torino Tchoca: Deal Done
Marco Baroni’s Torino is getting some new players.
João Pedro de Sousa Rodrigues, aka Tchoca, has just landed in Milan in order to held medicat tests. Then he’ll move to Turin.
He’s all set to get his medicals done and sign his new contract with the Granata club.
Defensively they have struggled, conceding 42 goals in 25 matches this season, so have moved to reinforce.
Ismajili, Masina and Schuurs are injured, which could hand the Brazilian immediate minutes.
Coach Marco Baroni prefers a back three and has at times redeployed full-backs to cover.
The Formula Torino Agreed On Tchoca Signing
The player joins us from Corinthians, and the Brazilian club has announced the details of the deal recently.
The deal was set up as a loan until June for €1.5 million, with an option to buy for Urbano Cairo’s club for an extra €4.5 million if the player plays in at least 10 games, each lasting 45 minutes.
The deal also includes bonuses of €1 million plus 12% on the future resale of the player to Corinthians.
Zapata’s Position Under Review
There might be some transfer news in the last days of the winter transfer window about Torino striker Duvan Zapata.
The Colombian isn’t really in Coach Baroni’s plans, so he might be leaving soon.
“Zapata left the training camp for personal reasons, it’s his business. The transfer market has nothing to do with it,” said Granata president Urbano Cairo recently, after the Colombian left the training camp due to family problems.
Zapata, 34, with a net salary of €2.5 million per season, isn’t off-limits to the Granata management, who are planning to trim the team’s payroll in the coming months.
The center forward has only scored one goal so far, against Milan, and has had one assist in 16 league appearances.
Olympiacos, a club looking for a replacement for the departing Yaremchuk, has shown interest in him. Before, Genoa and Cagliari had tried to get Zapata on loan, but Torino said no, and they’d even offered part of the salary.
