Tottenham Fans All Say The Same Thing As Fiorentina Land Fabio Paratici

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the news that Fabio Paratici will be switching from Spurs to Fiorentina next month.
Speculation linking Fiorentina and Paratici has been going on for a number of weeks, and now it’s finally official.
Both Fiorentina and Tottenham have announced on their official websites that Paratici will be moving from London to Florence.
And Spurs fans, who have endured a difficult season so far, are reeling from yet more disappointing news.
Tottenham fans sad Fabio Paratici is joining Fiorentina while Johan Lange stays behind
The general consensus among Tottenham fans was that they would have preferred Johan Lange leaving rather than Fabio Paratici.
While not all Spurs fans were unanimously praising Paratici, they feel he has done a better job overall than Lange.
Paratici may have delivered some poor signings at Tottenham, but he also struck gold on a number of occasions.
For instance, the trio of Rodrigo Bentancur, Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski played a big part in Spurs’ Europa League win last term.

Meanwhile, Lange has received criticism for slow transfer windows, too many ‘projects’, and not enough immediate first-team upgrades.
One fan asked in the Tottenham post’s comments whether Paratici could “take Lange with him.”
Another wrote: “And we’re stuck with Lange – makes perfect sense.”

Another fan said: “Idiots. Lange should’ve gone and Fabio and Leonardo should’ve returned and headed up our recruitment.”
A different supporter wrote: “I would keep him instead of Lange. I know that he is not perfect but he was responsible for bringing in Kulu and Bentancur.
“Kulu has been a great success and Bentancur was better at the start playing in the 8 role and injury clearly has meant that his performances have lessened.”
Why Fabio Paratici is moving to Fiorentina
Fabio Paratici had originally left Spurs in April 2023 after his appeal against a two-and-a-half-year ban was rejected by Italy’s highest sports court.
He returned to north London to work alongside existing sporting director Johan Lange in October last year.
However, Paratici has now confirmed that he wanted to return to his native Italy.
“I want to thank Vinai (Venkatesham, CEO) and the board of Tottenham Hotspur for accommodating my desire to return to Italy and join Fiorentina,” he said.
“I have loved my time at the club, however this opportunity, together with the need to be based in my homeland, has led me to this decision.
“Spurs is a club that is very close to my heart. It has great people working for it, who are as passionate about the project as I am and want to bring sustained success.
“I have no doubt that they will achieve that and I will be watching closely from Italy.”
Paratici will be seeing out the January transfer window at Tottenham before linking up with Fiorentina after deadline day.
His immediate priority will be to help Fiorentina pull away from the Serie A relegation zone.
The Viola had a horror first half of the season, but an uptick in form has seen them move up to 18th in the standings.
